    • re doing my dining room. I wish I had a “before” photo. It was hidious. Blue walls and very heavy, long, blue and white drapes that completely covered the pretty view from the picture windows, complete with gigantic cornice boxes. My husband’s dining table and hutch from his previous marriage with most of the finish worn off and topping it all off with a white rug enhanced by large food stains.

      Here it is now.

    • I’ve re-done most every room in my house, can’t say which I take more pride in.

I turned the garage into a bedroom which we now use as a workshop.  I refinished the kitchen cupboards and painted the kitchen.  I gutted the bathroom, put in a new window and re-did the walls, refinished the wood floor.

I’ve painted every wall and ceiling in my house.

I’ll try to find some pictures.

    • Before it was all so brown.  The after picture isn’t quit finished, but close.  I still need to do something different with the floor, but don’t have $$.

    • Teeky, love that red color and I’d kill for that headboard.  Is it leather?

    • My bedroom is the same Teeky.  Only our wedding picture as far as photos.  I’ve tried to use feng shui priniciples in my bedroom as well, but I cannot find any good way to position the bed.  Now it’s a terribly cluttered mess that I need to clean up again.

    • Teeky, tell me more about the Feng Shui....

The best project for me (or for my husband) was to build a bigger deck.  I will see if I have pictures.

    • My favorite hobby is redecorating my house.
My daughter had a column plant stand that had become damaged in a move from apt to home. It was destined for the garbage.  I took it, split it in half, painted it and mounted it on the wall to make two shelves.  Creative and cool! The pictures on the shelves came from some old paintings my late grandmother had.  I repainted them too!  Who knew recycling could be so much fun?

    • I love that bedroom teeky, I have heard of Feng shui but never knew much about it, does it work for small bedrooms too? My problem is I have a fairly small bedroom, only one window, and two closets, which the one closet is very small, has steps in it and I hate it.
