Q & A

A point to ponder... most of us women think of our bedroom as a place of “Escape“..I do also..I just wonder “Why“..LOL.. Like men think of the basement or garage as their escape...any one got a take on this?

    • My room is my personal space....I can decorate it any way I want to...it is where I can have my alone time...watch tv...read...or just plain relax...happy
I guess a man feels that way about his workshop or garage...it’s his personal space to do what he pleases...

    • I guess I don’t think of my bedroom as an escape.  In fact if the computer wasn’t in here, I’d never be in here except to get dressed or sleep.

I think a person’s “escape” place is where they feel comfortable being themself.  For me, my escape is either outdoors or in my workshop.

    • It’s men’s nature to work with their hands and be around clutter doing “men stuff” whatever that may be happy

Women usual find serenity in a noise-free environment such as the bedroom or bathroom (which happens to be mine)

    • I wish I had an excape!!  Well, I do - it’s at my friends house 6 blocks down!!

I’ve always had the “family bedroom” kids will watch tv in there with me - and they tend to want to play in there as it is one of the only carpeted rooms....(hard floors are not as forgiving with the boys rough housing!)

    • As of right now I have no personal space to call my own..I am not married to Jerry so I kind of have to be sure he is agreeable to my decorating ideas..I am a person who loves theme rooms and I go from modest to out of this world..But with taste and style..He is Country..And that's that..LOL..I did get him to let me decorate our Family room a bit..He loves Light Houses he has tons of them..We both love the beach so it is done in blues and some sandy browns..With the whole beach theme..Our bath room is done in palm tree stuff and black rod iron.. It looks very nice..But our bed room..welll...it's  done in red white and blue..stars and stripes..WOW...  I wanted to do it in a Jungle theme..I can hope and pray =) But this summer I will have my own spot..We started making the building next to our house into a work shop for my craft business..So this summer I am going to make it mine...The name on the sign will be "Moons Crafts 4 U" Custom Wreaths  & Flower Arangements...
      I am excited...  estatic

    • Hmmm. I like my bedroom, but my big darn closet is my escape! I go in there and look around and roam. Luv it! I used to be a shop-a-holic, but am recovering. It is good just to be alive!!!
