    • I stick with my products, they have repair and prevention properties, and I stay out of the sun without sunscreen. I look at least 5 years younger since starting this routine, and let me tell you I love it!

Tanning smoking and alcohol are the three worst things you can do to your skin. Good skin care routines, eating right, and exercise (yes including the face) are the three best things you can do. Exercise brings oxygen and nourishing nutrients from the bloodstream closer to your skin. So does good skin care, exfoliation and moisturization. Smoking and consuming alcohol keeps the flow of blood and nourishment from reaching your skin.

    • I've seen pros and cons.  The cons were that the face was not supposed to have built up muscles in it, and that it would actually make more of a problem in the long run.  I guess just plain laziness won out (argh! one more thing to exercise)  so I never looked into it further.

    • Facercise is a long-standing method of facial exercise created by Carole Maggio some twenty years ago.  She started it when she was 36 and had lots of early signs of aging, too many for her age, and actually looked quite a bit older.

There are Yoga practices that can strengthen the underlying muscles and plump out your cheeks, “lift” your neck and help flatten out the jowls.  The eye area is tricky but you can make a positive difference.  The mouth has a concern as there is a muscle that actually runs around it, in a circle that is, and you don’t want to pull it because you’ll get odd-looking results.

However, if you are interested in working out your face, I would suggest you get a book or video by Carole Maggio and study it well first.  Ms. Maggio has really done her homework and if you follow what she tells you to do you’ll be educated and less likely to make a mistake.

I’m also the Yoga Editor at BellaOnline by the way.

      Good Luck
