Q & A

I have been completely addicted to Dr. Pepper for the longest time and am weaning myself off of them and on to water due to my recent weight gain. Do you have a favorite drink that you consume throughout your day?

Ohhhh this post is for me! Hi my name is Marie and I am a Coca cola a-d-d-i-c-t.  Whew! I used to have like 2-3 cans per day. Then my Dr. told me to stop, I laughed and started buying those mini cans, that didn’t work. I am proud to say that now I only need one per day.  I know I can wean myself off (I didn’t touch the stuff while I was pregnant) but if I walk by a coke vending machine now, I get the chills....

    • Hi, my name is Tulip and I’m a Dr Pepper addict.  I’ve quit cold turkey, I’ve weaned myself off, and I’ve ended up with a can in my hand again, time after time.  frown

I’ve been doing really well lately, I don’t even crave them anymore.  BUT, next Tuesday I go back to a job where there is DrPepper fountain pop available all day long.  We’ll see how long my will power survives.

    • Dr. Pepper .....thats awful maybe a different formulea for the UK but wouldn’t drink it with a loaded gun to my head - not a big fan of fizzy drinks - prefer my hot drinks like tea and coffee .....

    • When my husband and I first met, I was living alone and surviving on Dr. Pepper and microwave popcorn.

When my back teeth started crumbling, I made the switch to diet soda. It took a while to fully transition, but I was persistent.

Today I am a full-fledged Diet Coke junkie. I usually have my first one by 10:30 in the morning and will drink them throughout the rest of the day.

    • I love orange crush soda.  I can’t remember the last time I had it.  I am a diabetic, so now I drink lots and lots of water.

    • I too am addicted to Dr. Pepper. I am also a diabetic so now I only drink the diet dr.pepper(which is just as good as regular). I had to ween myself off the soda also, so now I only drink 1 per month. But I have also started drinking flavored water with no calories, no sugar, and no sodium.

    • Soda, soda, soda........I started with the original diet stuff, Tab back in the 1900’s.....and have never stopped! My addiction has roller coastered on the daily consumption....but never less than 1 per day. The average over the span is probably more like 3/day. I have seriously started cutting back in the last couple of years, but just can’t quite stop. I don’t know about the regular versions, but the diet stuff is not so good for your liver.

    • Used to be addicted to Dr Pepper. Don’t do any sodas
at all anymore. I have hypoglycemia and I get a super
dangerous crash (sugar level dropping of about 33) after
I drink these. So my new addiction is green tea—iced and cold.
