Q & A

Has anyone found an energy drink that
truly tastes good and actually delivers a dose of energy? I have tried at least 6 and they all have a horrid after taste.

    • This week, I bought Crystal Light in their energy formula, which is flavored Wild Strawberry. It is really good! And I felt energized without being hyper, and I did not crash. I got more stuff done today than I’ve done all week.

It’s the kind you add to a bottle of water and shake.

    • I make my own—-a glass of vanilla soy milk with a banana and some strawberries-mixed in blender. Plenty of protein and vitamins

    • I don’t drink typical energy drinks, because they are usually full of caffeine and/or sugar. When I need a boost, I drink Emergen-C “Super Energy Booster” - a powdered drink mix with vitamin C and B vitamins. It works great and doesn’t leave you feeling tired a few hours later (or the next day) like some.

    • I only use store bought energy drinks once in awhile but when I do I drink Guava flavored Rockstar.
It’s the only one I found to not have an aftertaste or total crash a few hours later that bothers me. The added bonus of occasional use is  some of the vitamins, minerals helps my “anemia” and “arthritic symptoms.”

    • I avoid the caffeine and sugar too. Most of the in store energy drinks are filled with mega doses of synthetic vitamins which aren’t good for you.
I use a product called AmbroStart. It kind of tastes like Tang (but not made with sugar or artificial sweeteners. I think it has fructose in it to sweeten it.)
Most of the time when you are tired (and you’ve had adequate sleep) it is because your body isn’t getting the nutrition it needs. A really good, natural, food sourced vitamin can do wonders.

    • Like others, I avoid most commercial ones for the sugars and/or colors/fillers which I am sensitive to.  I sometimes use Emergen-C and it helps a lot when I have colds or flu. For everyday, I start my mornings off with a green drink and a juice drink and I am half energy anytime I miss them.

Juice is a half/half mix of Acai/Blueberry and 100% Pom juice that I get at Costco.  Works as well for me as MonaVie and lots cheaper.  Only need a dixie cup full each morning.

Green is 3 cups of Chocolate Almond Milk by Blue Mountain, 2 tablespoons of Berry Green powder with a capful of chlorophyl and a capful of apple cider vinegar.  I add my homeopathic oils to this mixture as well.  This amount makes enough for 2 people...fills a dixie cup and you just shoot it really fast and chase it with water.  Not great tasting but it makes me feel amazing.

    • I have used a lot of energy drinks. Rockstar(my fav), amp, red bull, too many to mention. I dont drink them often but sometimes I can drink up to 3 of them when Im drained. I am so immune to caffeine also. Have drank some of those 5hr energy shots and they dont work either. It is a quick boost for 15 minutes then back to being tired. I have to have my coffee in the morning every day and sometimes in the evening. Can still go to sleep after drinking coffee. I have a sluggish thyroid and I am on medication for that but it seems not to help the tiredness. Never have energy even with 8hrs of sleep. But I am a morning person.

    • I’m battling my Blue Monster addiction. I love the taste, but I think Rock Star is the better buzz... Probably none of them are good for you and I know there’s better ways. But it’s the taste of Blue Monster.... Mmmmmmmmmmm..
