    • The week ex hub #1 and I got our marriage license, his engine caught fire. Then there was a freak blizzard on our wedding day, April 3rd. we got snowed in on our way to our honeymoon.

With ex hub #2 my clue should have been him picking his Mom’s wedding idea wishes over mine. But the true sign should have been the completely stony, blank stare when I met him at the alter.

While I was in the minister’s office regaining consiousness my sister was laughing because the grooms side were all in whispers about the scandal...... the baby came 4 years later!

    • Vikki, that is funny about the baby!! Reminds me of the scene in 16 Candles when the sister has her period and Dad says it loud enough for the church to hear. The groom looks at the priest and says, “bet those people who said we had to get married feel pretty stupid now!”

    • Girls, those are funny.  I thought I was the only one with stories like that.

My first marriage, the man showed up late the day we were supposed to get our marriage license.  We made it to the courthouse with 5 min to spare. He had blown up the engine in his pickup the night of the bachelor party and spent all his time the week before the wedding working on the pickup rather than spending time with his bride to be.

When I saw the guest list from that side of the family I should have known His family would always come first.  They were about 5 to one, his family to mine.

And then there were the pains in my side a few days before the wedding.  Should have gone to the doc as it was appendicitis.  I ended up having an emergency appendectomy 24 hrs. after the wedding!  Then, while I’m laying in the hospital recuperating—he leaves!!!!!!!!  Goes home to his mommy and daddy!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • My last marriage I should have followed my guts, I had two signs but nooooooooooooo just stupid.

First, right after he sold his house and move into mine so we could sell it and then buy one to move into together he announced he was going to quit his job to start his own realtor firm.....just when my house was under contract....I should have cancelled the contract and kicked him out

Second after we moved into my new house that I bought on my own he decided that we just get married right away instead of 9 months later like we were planning...mmmm what was the rush and what man rushes a wedding?????? I was so stupid.

    • HA! My list is ridiculous, which in turn would make me look ridiculous. And, I was.
I ignored the signs of being cheated on.
I ignored the signs of being betrayed by a best friend.
It’s alright though. They’ve both been put in their place & as a matter of fact, they‘re both miserable now.
      I’m not! happy

    • I felt what I thought was a small lump under the skin to the left of my right ovary.  When I went to the gyn he said he didn’t feel anything in that area so I dismissed it until two years later when I was diagnosed with colon cancer.  It was a rather large tumor by then.
