What do you consider a good breakfast? I got stock with bread and cheese.
How about an omlette with carmelized onion and a little cheese. Paremesan is good and not very high in calories. I love to have protein in the morning. Really keeps me going.
Apples and peanut butter are great, too.
I give the kids vanilla yogurt with some sprinkles on top. They think it is the greatest treat in the world.
I always have many different healthy cereals-kashi brand, all bran, cheerios. Oatmeal and grapenuts if we want hot cereal
Fresh fruit! Always nice to have with cereal, toast, waffles, etc...
I keep organic waffle mix on hand with “lite” maple syrup and a couple of flavored ones to add to the homemade oatmeal or hot grapenuts.
Bagels, both flavored and low carb. Double fiber bread and I try to keep a stash of high fiber/low fat muffins in the freezer.
COFFEE GIRLFRIEND
Help, I just can’t get into breakfast and I heard it is important to eat breakfast. When mom was alive she use to get after me for not eating breakfast.
All you can eat breakfast buffet at a fancy hotel. That’s a mighty good breakfast.
Usually I have unsweetened yogurt and add honey to it and whatever fruit I can scrounge up. On Saturday mornings, sometimes I make buckwheat pancakes and bacon.
Tulip
Chinadoll,
fancy breakfast in hotel sounds good, but it will make me fatter:),
Thank you all,
tuliplady, yogurt and fruit sounds great!
I can’t eat honey, somehow I developed an allergy.
Sounds great CD. Usually I make eggs of some sort with bacon or sausage (Sunday’s only). Love cooking and eating breakfast outdoors in the summer. Just love it!
xoxo
Thank you Carine,
I do have cofee every morning. I should try to find waffles with less calories.
A Mimosa is - Champagne and orange juice, awesome drink during brunch!
Oatmeal
Eggs
cold cereal and soy milk
fruit smoothie
leftover pizza
not all of these on the same day, just some of the breakfast choices I like.
Fresh Oj, really good coffee and a bowl of bircher muesli with fresh fruit and yoghurt.
COFFEE for me, I tried to eat breakfast...like eggs with beans and (lets not forget tortillas), if only me.I know they are fatten, but damn they ARE good.
I too cook a big good breakfast for the family on Sundays: eggs, bacon, beans with chile( my honey and the boys have to have their chile) and toast or tortillas..
since trying to be gluten free...
eggs, banana, coffee, gluten free toast, organic jelly
Ladies,
Thank you very much! You are so resourseful!
Great ideas!!!
Now I know what Mimosa is:)
good, as in ultimately good, but not necessarily healthful:
—huge omelet filled with spinach, cheese, onions, mushrooms —hash browns or some kind of potatoes —grapefruit half —english muffin w/butter —skim milk —latte
Hey, i didn’t say a non-fat breakfast, but on my last day on earth I think this’d be what I’d order!
Bacon-love it! eggs, waffles, hashbrowns, fruit, toast w/ nuttella, crepes, flavored coffee,o.j. oh i got to go and eat, this is making me hungr
I eat oatmeal almost every morning cuz it’s healthy and sticks with me,,,but I really would prefer a vegie omelet and crispy hashbrowns.
I’m not a big breakfast eater. When I do have breakfast I’ll have a BLT. But last weekend we stayed with friends and she cut up a few apples and chopped walnuts and mixed with vanilla yogurt, that was really good! And very easy to fix.
I eat Honey Nut Cheerios or Multigrain Cheerios with skim milk and then have a yogurt when I get to work.

I like to have oatmeal put that with a banana or sandwich toast of turkey or chicken with a little applesauce.
For the colder months I have oatmeal, oj and coffee. Warmer months I have shredded wheat with blueberries, oj and coffee. Weekends we usually have eggs or pancakes, a bigger breakfast.
I’m not a Breakfast person really, but If I do eat B/F It’s usually a good bowl of cereal. and some toast
