    • My nephew is at Fort Bragg right now in the army. Did your son just get to Fort Bragg? Was he in South Korea right before? I wonder if they know one another.

    • Hi, my name is Dianne and my son enlisted 3 years ago as a reservist in the Army and is now in Iraq.  He’s been there almost 2 months and will “hopefully” be able to return soon to see his first son born.  estatic

    • chocolatier... Jason has been at Fort Bragg since May of last year training, he’s completing an EMT course shortly and hopes to finish up the Ranger school right after that, a knee injury prevented him from completing his first go round. He has not been overseas at all...But I know the clock is ticking on that. He is in Charlie Company.
That would be one of those 6 degrees of seperation things if they did know each other!! (Jason Draeger)
Dianne I hope your son makes it home safely...I think I have stress now!...Jason in Iraq or Pakastan...my nightmare, But he’s living his dream, not too many 20 yr olds can say that.

    • Andy, my son is also TOTALLY into what he is doing and tries to assure me that where he is he will be fine. Charlie Company, isn’t that communications?  Andy is in communications and also works with their computers.  (he loves computers and networking)
My nightmare is with troops that are being pulled from Iraq to cover the mess in Afghanistan...I’m one of those Mother’s who is totally wrapped up in her kids...I also have an 11 yr. old daughter and it hurts he is so far away; but like you said, not many 21 yr. olds can say they are living their dream.  His is to make it to special services...he would LOVE to be a sniper or Navy Seal.  He’s already talking going active after this tour and I can easily see him making a career of this.

Hopefully Jason remains safe as well.  Thank you for your kind wishes for Andy’s safety.

      Dianne
