    • Wow.  I don’t know.  We used to do primitive camping.  We were with a group of people who did historical reenactments (pre-1840).  We had canvas tents, cooked over open fires, etc. then we bought the nylon tents and now have a travel trailer.  We used it twice in the past two years since we bought it.  Hoping to enjoy it now that I’m not longer ill.  Have plans to travel and camp with my sister and her partner over the summer.  Really looking forward to that.

    • Fourth Lake I think it was called. In the Adirondacks of New York. Long time ago!! We used to take the kids and fly in with canoes and have the whole lake to ourselves until the plane came back! No cellphones then so we were really alone! ohhhh

    • Jackson Hole Wyoming.  We had rode to Sturgis in 2004 (keep in mind we ride by the seat of our pants, meaning we never had hotel reservations - we ride til we want to shut it down).  We get through the Grand Tetons and are headed to Jackson Hole and there were NO ROOMS.  We had tent’s so we had no choice but to camp out.  It was so memorable because it was spontaneous, we were with new friends and old friends.  It was the best night sitting around the fire, star gazing and lot’s and lot’s of bs‘n going on.

    • Wow ladies, I’m taking a mini vacation in my head with all your experiences, love to here about peoples travels.  My favorite camping trip of all time was in North Lake Campground in Haines Falls, NY in the Catskill Mtns, famous for it’s creeks, mountains and Falls and great camping and resorts everywhere.  We had a site right next to the shore of North Lake, and we used to walk to the shore from our van, which we camped in, complete with Fullsized bed and Nightstand,LOL!  We actually took our own bed from home in the back of this panel van we had, 1976 Chevy.  So, we hiked up all these trails along with our Chihuahua at the time, Pippi.  We stayed for 2 weeks of Utter Bliss, we even got to see a Mama Porcupine and babies at the top of this 5  mile hike up to North Point, with our Chihuahua.  To think of doing it today makes me realize “Hey I did that already!”  What’s next!  Keep those stories comin’ ladies!

    • LOL Leann!  I don’t blame you, camping is definitely a lot of work, much easier ordering room service in a 5 star hotel!  But if you ever have a craving for S‘mores while you‘re there ...How to make S‘mores in your Hotel room?  Aluminum foil over the iron, positioned upside down between 2 six packs, turn it up on high, place 1 large Graham cracker on the foil, cover with 1 square dark chocolate, then a marshmallow, another Graham cracker, cover tightly with foil pressing down around the iron so it stays, being careful not to burn yourself, then you should have a Hotel S‘more in about 5-10 minutes!  Enjoy!!estaticestatic
