Q & A

For myself, I wasn’t very happy during my 30s.  Now I feel so much better about myself at my ripe age of 40+

Ladies—Do you feel better now that you‘re older or when you were in your 30s?

    • My 30’s was an interesting time. I had some hardships, some loses both major and small and yet I loved my 30’s. I had great opportunites to explore and enjoy life, both the ups and downs. My 40’s have been the same and yet in a different manor. My life is in a completly new direction and I still suffer and enjoy life’s ups and downs and it is good.

    • The older I get, the more comfortable I am in my skin. I am happier in my 40’s than I was in my 30’s and I believe I will be even more so in my 50’s. I think it comes with having more confidence, wisdom, experience, love; just more everything than you did 10 years ago. Even the hardships add to the wisdom and experience that make you who you are.

    • Better things are happening to me in my 40’s, for sure. In my 30’s I lost my stepdad and my mom, had a few bad break-ups and a nasty divorce. Now I have many good things in my life and I appreciate what I have.

    • I like my 40’s better than my 30’s.  I have more confidence and feel more at ease about myself, my weight, etc..The 30’s were pretty rocky in my relationship, broke up and got back together a few times, but on a positive note, in 1998 I graduated from nursing school, and that has really helped me further my career.  Physically my 30’s were better, the 40’s not so much...got Diabetes in my 40’s which sucks..but I’m losing weight, so now things are getting better physically, so I’ll just keep on keepin on.  I love my mentality in my 40’s, easier to analyze a situation better, and take my time making decisions on certain things.

    • Yes, I do feel so much better about myself now and can relate to a lot of comments above.  However, and I’m a bit ashamed to admit it, I hate growing old.  It really bothers me sometimes.  Maybe I’m too concerned with physical appearance and rate that higher than other things like feeling good.  Sounds shallow, huh?
