    • I sound like a broken record in my house, however, any teen that waks in and wants to hear my opinion on college and getting a job afterwards, and those that don’t estatic I give them my piece of mind anyway happy

I think that it’s important to find your niche, your speciality. To be the best you can be in your field, to never stop learning, and continue your education.

It used to be that B.S. was enough, that is no longer the case. Reach for the sky, and never settle for less.

      What’s your advice?

    • I would say to a young man/woman in college Don’t postponed anything you really will like to do thinking tomorrow you will be able to do it, Live today for today take a carrier compatibility test, do not only look at the money you will be making take a summer job because with your limited work experience also look at the opportunities for an internship or a entry level job in the field you will like to major in with a reputable company.  It’s always a good thing to plan ahead.

    • What advice is this graduate seeking? Career? Continued education? I’m not clear. I don’t know what I’d tell them if I don’t know what they are seeking to know. Sorry for my dullness!tongue out

    • Well...my advice before achieving the FIRST DEGREE...is to do something you LOVE!!!  Think of the time you spend at work...why would you want to spend the majority of your life (which is working) doing something you hate?
(I said achieving the FIRST DEGREE..because so many people get one degree in one field to only go back and get another in something totally different down the road.)

Be the best at what you do...strive for excellence.  If you are a manager at McDonalds...be the best manager at McDonalds.  If you are a CEO of a fortune 5 6 company..if they even exist anymore...LOL...be the best...and don’t steal from the people!!!!!

Be the best at what you do...set yourself apart from others....stand out...give 150%...more than others...but don’t hog their achievements....and be a good listener....and be a good friend...and you can only have One credit card.  Cut those other ones UP!!!  Pay your bills on time...and do one helpful and nice thing for someone else daily. There’s more...I just had to take a breath!

    • I would tell them to be prepared for the worst while hoping for the best. In these times the jobs just are not there. Even with a degree. So actual experience in something that can enhance their degree is always helpful. Also doing volunteer work helps to make them stand out. Give back before expecting to receive....

    • Perserverance is key. Do not take no for an answer. Always ask questions! Always go above and beyond what is expected. This definitely is not the time for mediocrity.
