    • I don’t carry one. I do try to use common sense. Always noticing my surrounding. I have a man that is my Dad’s age that is my business partner. In real estate I get calls all the time from strangers on wanting to see a home we have listed. Anyway, if my partner cannot be with me, My son or my husband will go with me. The same on Open Houses.

We do have guns in the house. Definately know how to use them.  I have never carried one with me since I moved here. Now, I did when I lived in Memphis. It stayed in my glove department.

    • I used to carry a spray on my key chain.  Since security tighten, not just airport but also Federal and State buildings, I chucked it.  Thank goodness I am in Utah and it is a fairly safe place.  Yes, I do look around my surrounding and like other girlfriends, practice common sense and pray to my Guardian Angel for protection.

    • Thanks for your quick answer. I have to tell you that I work with many women and I can’t tell you how many times when something happens they decided its time to remember pepper spray or something to protect themselves with.

Most women that are attacked will say the same thing I was aware of everything I don’t know where he came from.

This is a great girls night out start going to a self defense class. I have so much fun once a week 6 of my friends go to class and then dinner. Ok so I am getting older but so are you.

    • I’m with Jackie...I pray all the time...We pray when we leave the house...and pray when we get back in...For some reason I never thought about having anything for personal protection...I used to have ‘Mace‘..when it was sort of ‘legal’ to carry....

    • mslorid..I for one will not stand in judgement of your choice of protection...I am an abuse survivor like you so I understand...I’m just sooo scared of firearms...but it seems to me like you know what you‘re doing..so my hat goes off to you..sweetie...You have to protect you...Like you said..walk a mile in your shoes..right?...I’m there holding your hand...My attacker...my ex...said that he will see me dead...and who knows if he meant it...whether today or tomorrow...who knows...And yes sometimes...more than others..I do get scared...Especially when everyone’s asleep and I’m doing the baby’s bottles and I hear something outside...I jump...not knowing...People have to be ‘loud’ when they come up behind me..or I’ll scream...Lol..Yep..it’s no picnic...

BTW..all of my ‘attacks’ from this individual happened at night..I’d wake up with his hands around my neck..so many times...wish I’d had something to protect me then..but then again I probably wouldn’t be here if I did...

      Sorry to digress a bit...memories!!!

    • Thanks for the information I am not sure if I could be as good as you Soulful You are a wonderful lady. I don’t want to kill someone but I am not about waiting for something to happen. I would rather be tried by 12 then carried by 6. God does have a wonderful way of healing all.
I pray for your safety and a really good night sleep.

Teeky what a great idea to put something in the ignition, Now that is something I never thought of Thanks for the tip.

Ladies this is really helping me. I so love this business I feel like I am helping people every day. Most of all when I get a phone call from someone who is leaving work and no feels safe with a stun gun or a pepperspray. I will tell you it is not for everyone. You really could cause more harm to yourself. So know how to use the items take classes or just find out information. I tell everyone if you buy a pepper spray make sure you spray it to see how the flow is don’t wait until you need to use it, and spray your pepper spray about once every month.

Thanks for taking the time to answer.
