Q & A

Why are men joining the site (other than the obvious).  There are many sites where cooed are advertised.  I’m don’t think this is one of them.  Am I wrong?

    • Since everyone can hide behind a screen name Fabulously40.com team decided to give men the opportunity to be honest and sign up as “male“.

When they do, they are usually contacted and asked why they are here. Some leave immediately when they understand this is not a dating site, some stick around because they want to understand women.  They are asked not to contact anyone for dating.

If anyone bothers you please message me and I’ll address the issue immediately.

      Thanks.
      Yana

    • Yana..if men joined the site...do you think it would possibly change the tone of fab40?...Do you think women will still feel as free to express themselves if they openly knew men were reading what they wrote?...Right now we‘re not faced with that..(the unknown)..but openly allowing it I’m afraid it would alter the sisterhood comraderie(sp) shown on her..Just curious

    • Here is the deal, if we will not give them an option to sign up they can create a profile under a “female“,  post a general pic and do the same thing. At least this way I know who is here, most of them are contacted immediately, and they usually go away or do not bother to login again. When you don’t know who they are since they pose as females what do you do?

See men don’t think like us girls....this is just our way to keep track of them.

    • The reason I love this site is that there are no men who are trying to hit on you. I don’t mind men being able to join as long as it is OK to report it if a man tries to hit on me. And, Yana has expressed that I can so I feel OK about it.

    • I told my friend, George, about this site and he thought it sounded cool. So, he searched for a similar one for men. he found one for men and women over 40 and told me about it. I created a profile and put just a little info about my business on there, my marital status and my birthday. Within 12 hours I had this LONG message from a man. It started by saying he noticed I was married and went on from there how he is looking for love, that from my profile he can tell I’m beautiful, witty, charming and funny and that he is anxiously awaiting my response. How in the world could he get the opinion that I’m witty, etc. from a very short paragraph about my business?? I was stumped. Again, that is why I LOVE this site!!

    • Perhaps back to the blocking idea is not a bad idea after all (no offense Soleful, oops, soulful)
Perhaps we should provide a button to block men to view when it is really up close and personal.

    • I also met my man on a dating site. I deleted my account as soon as we decided that we were all we ever wanted..And we knew we were in love...I tell you what I was seriously beginning to think most men are illiterate..I clearly stated.."I Do Not Date Married Men" or "Men In Serious Relationships".."I Do Not Do Drama". "No One Night Stands"..I Am Looking For A Long Term Relationship.. I was very specific and went in to much detail about what kind of man I was looking for from height and weight..To hair length and color..Age....Hay I was picky..LOL..And the last line stated..Please Do Not Send Me Pictures Of Your Penis... Well Hells Bells..I might as well just put my picture up there and wrote Dumb girl looking for anybody...I got nothing accept a bunch of pervs..It was sick and sad..And sometimes too damn funny.. I used to write back to the ones who sent unwanted pics..Excuse me apparently you were unable to read my profile..But I will let you know up front if this is your best feature You are really in for a lot of rejection..Try a face shot and maybe you can break the bad news to the poor woman in an easy way..Please do not reply..LMAO....I am so glad I met Jerry and got the hell off there..Ewwwwwww... I am no prude by far but come on..it's nothing but a meat market...I believe most of them could care less if you even had a head...That's why when I found this site I was relieved that it was all Women..For Us About Us..No One Leaving The Lid up on here...  =)

    • Vigirl, I know just the site you were on, I had exactly the same experience, most men are on those sites to date, and thats just the bottom line....I think we all agreed that men don’t share information like women do, so they don’t have the need to connect with other men.

But I think I just got an idea.......stand by I might need to run it by you guys...let me sleep on it...

You know, Kings of many kingdoms sent spies to watch his Harem as he loved hearing about what the women thought and did during the day, it was more entertaining than anything else in his kingdom...

We are interesting... and an enigma to men.

Thats it.. So guys,,, we are on to ya !!!

    • Yana - I like your slogan idea....

I actually wish my (now EX) boyfriend could have read some of these posts.  At 47, he’s CLUELESS as to how women think....

As for the “Men you can’t live with them...”  I’ll add to that and say, “Men, you can’t live with them and you can’t put them in a blender.”

But this string brought a bit of a smile to my face - and I definitely need that today....
