    • I watched the movie “Changeling” which told the story of Christine Collins whose son was kidnapped in March 1928 and they caught the killer Gordon Stewart Northcott and he was sentenced to death by hanging for the murders of possibly 20 young boys..he was brutal and sadistic and in my opinion deserved what he got, but other people may not agree with this.

    • Oh I voiced my opinion on this before and felt like a few pelted me!  LOL  I am ALL FOR CAPITAL PUNISHMENT . I would like to say, the one's that I felt "challenged my belief for the death penalty" never answered my question which is: What if the person murdered your child? Your Spouse? Your parent? Would you still  want them to get 10-20 and out in 1/2 that time for good behavior????  Obviously I would only say the death penalty knowing without a doubt the person committed the heinous crimes.

With DNA and technology today I believe it’s pretty easy to determine they are guilty.

    • I agree with you Angel...it sickens me that these violent offenders could ever have a chance of seeing the light of day...others may not agree with it, but I believe any person who commits a heinous crime...murder, torture, rape and murder of children, etc..should not have the option to live off the taxpayer’s money..maybe this would free up some of the jail space...they just don’t deserve any rights.

    • Oh, forgot to add the one’s who are not for the death penalty stated the person should be put in prison for life.  But also didn’t say whether or not it would be ok to ship that person to their state and let their tax dollars care for them for their entire life.  Guess I’ll stop now.  I have very strong views on this.

    • They had a inmate here in Texas who called I believe it was a judge and made death threats to him.  He is on death row and his family snuck a cell phone in to him.  Even behind bars the monster still reaked havoc on families.  After that they did a sweep of all prisons down here and found multiple cell phones in death row inmates cells.   Amazing huh?

    • I could not imagine not seeing a loved one anymore because of some rotten sicko that decided they were to be a target and take them out...an eye for an eye!...and Charlie Manson sure thinks he got away with something, but he’ll get his in hell!...actually I would not want to cross my hub, not only does he have military training, but I pity the person who tries to harm anyone that he loves.

    • I know Renee, what is with these appeals?...a person committed a crime, they were convicted of the crime, they had clear evidence of the crime committed, but they have to appeal...doesn’t make sense..trying to again string everybody along and waste our money.

    • I have mixed feelings on that. I know I would want the person dead if anyone in my family were to be murdered but on the other hand I was taught to believe that killing is wrong and God is our only judge.

    • I’m against the death penalty.  BUT, I’m FOR prisoners working 8 hours a day for their room and board.  Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  Rooms that are NOT air conditioned.  No television.  I like I think it’s the sheriff in an Arizona town, who runs his prison in such a manner, that the prisoners even live in tents.  I don’t believe working out, internet access, t.v., etc. is helping our system it’s hurting.  We’ve got to be harder on the criminals than the current situation.

    • You are right Pouty...the system is so easy on inmates. My exhusband was in and out of prison alot and it was like a country club for him. They have many amenities in there that so many out here have to struggle for. I think that is why many inmates don’t have a problem messing up again once they are released...because why not go back when you have it so good? The only thing that is taken away from them are their spouses.

    • The inmates call it Disneyland. Our system is sooo messed up, what rights should a person convicted of murder have IN PRISON mind you. The person who they murdered has what rights. YOU chose to take anothers life/rights away you should never have any right to anything, ROT.
