    • I’ve been on a jury a couple of times.  Sometimes it’s so boring you can hardly stay awake, other times you can’t wait to hear what happens next.

I don’t mind jury duty.  It’s a part of our freedom.

    • I was called once for federal jury duty which was 250 miles away.  I got out of it because I had a baby who was still nursing.  Other than that I’ve never been called.

When I was a young mom and not working, there were many times I would have liked the days pay for sitting on the county jury, but in 15 years, I was never called.

Hubby had jury duty about four years ago.  He didn’t get chosen for the jury though and was very glad he didn’t.  It was a child abuse case and he said there’s no way he could have been impartial.

    • I did Grand Jury duty before and I really liked it. It was interesting hearing details about different cases, looking at evidence, listening to witnesses and then voting on whether or not to take it to trial. Some of the cases were comical while others were hard to hear and some of the evidence was hard to look at...like the murder cases.

I haven’t been called for Trial Jury yet.

    • Here in CA it is really hard to get out of like it used to be.You are allowed 1 postponement but you better show up. About 2-3 months ago my dad had jury duty (he loves it) any way he went they were picking the jury and it was a very slow process My dad said he kept dozing off, they broke for lunch and when he returned he passed a fellow juror who said to him, we can leave, they don’t need us. So my dad left and went home. The Judge called my dad at home and asked what are you doing my dad said something off the wall and the judge told him he had 15 minutes to get to his office or a warrant would be issued. My dad returned and was scolded by the judge for leaving without the judges permission and told not to ever leave w/out specific permission from the judge only??
