Q & A

Your child is in desperate need of a transplant to save his/her life.  You have no medical insurance, no money and there is NO ONE to borrow from.  You find a wallet filled with enough money to get the transplant along with the owners drivers license.  Do you turn the money in or consider this a blessing and save your child?

I’m with you Teeky. I’m a firm believer in Karma, but I would have to think of my child first.
I have lost a child and I know that if I could bring him back using someone elses money then you‘re damn skippy I would use it.

    • Tricky question.  Enough $ for transplant so must be a lot.  I would then wonder if the $ is legit in the first place.  Then I will ask Greeneyed to check on the person’s occupation for I have the ID.

2nd thought—I would turn that in to the person directly.  What comes around goes around, I trust in my God will take care of my problem unconditionally.  Even with a dying child - the story of Abraham taught me so.

    • I agree with you, Teeky. I would hate to do that, especially when you don’t know the situation of the person that lost it. Wow, what a tough question

    • Tough question, however I think that as a mother I would do anything to save the life of my child, I would definitely contact the person and explain why I’ve done what I’ve done and try to repay the debt, even if it took me the rest of my life.

    • I would turn it in..Nothing good is ever gained from ill gotten goods..I truly believe this..I believe I would find an answer from God .. and that if I took that money and kept it  I would have given into a temptation from the devil .

    • I think when it comes to saving a child’s life (mine or someone else’s) all bets are off.

Maybe not the most honest thing to do, but I’d rather save a child and be called a thief, then loose a child and be celebrated as an honest person.

Is it a selfish act? Probably, just because we have to live with ourselves every day after making that decision, and I think I couldn’t look at myself if I chose how people perceive me over saving a life.

Teeky, how about a lighter question of the day???you have me all stressed out over this...

I hope that we will never be in this situation.

    • This is a biggy question.  Unfortunately in our daily life, we are dishonest over minor stuff because it is minor. Don’t mean to change direction here, I am thinking if it is just $50 lying around, would I take it?  Just a food for thought..... keep going and never mind me intruding.

    • I would save my child, then do everyting I could to replace the money as teeky first stated.

I was taught God is a forgiving God, and maybe it was there for you to find it. Is it there as a test...is it there as God’s answer to your prayers? You will never know. As for something bad happening to the child if the money us used...I don’t think that is the way God works. If so, it kind of makes him cruel.

Plz remember this is IMHO only!

    • I gave this a lot of thought last night..I really put myself out there..This is what I concluded.. I would probably use the money...then when I got my taxes back every year I would send it anonymously..I would add a note explaining my decision/reason for using the money..and promise to pay back every dime of it..You have their address and name..so it would be easy to do...Then I would pray and ask God to forgive me my weakness..I would kill for and die for my Children..I was also in the mindset that like Mztracy said.. How do you know it was not a blessing...

    • Just as GOD place people in our lives for such a time...i feel like blessings comes in disguise.  GOD knows our hearts.  i think like most honest people are thinking now....I can do 1 of 2 things

1 I could use that money, , my childs life is in the balance.  i would do all i can do to save his life.  with every intention of putting it back.

2 I could use that money, , my childs life is in the balance.  i would do all i can do to save his life.  with every intention of putting it back.

CHINA....I will contact the owner, like Teeky and others would; I promise....and make arrangements to pay it back.

“WHAT is NEEDFUL, is LAWFUL” in this case.
