    • Hey girl, I would put some jewelry. Maybe a cute necklace and some rings. A cute mirror and don’t forget the lip gloss. The pic is a good idea and the journal. The hair things would be good and $10 all my neices love when they get money in their bag. I say $10 because she is ten years old. A cute stuffed animal and candy (skittles go over well) and dont forget a pack of gum! That is the staple of the whole bag. estatic

    • A 10 yr old is just in the beginning stages of discovering young ladyhood. So much in the beginnings she may not realize it yet.
I like the idea of a journal/diary and definitely the pic is a great idea. I think I would add things to help her discover her creativity like a disposable camera, scrapbook stuff, mini ipod, pencils, chalk and sketch supplies, mini jewelry making kits.
Of course things like hair ties, nail polish and clothes are always good depending on her.
Is it possible to ask her mother?

    • These are all great ideas! Definately hair things and nail polish stuff. Girls that age are always into that. Disposable camera is an excellent idea!! Maybe even a gift certificate to go get a mini manicure too. estatic

    • Virginia what about a gift cert to her favorite store?  Then you could take her and spend some quality “one on one time her“.  What ever you give her I’m sure she’ll love it.  Very thoughtful of you.estatic

    • I have a ten year old daughter, and right now she loves blue, and neon color nail polish. She likes tinted lip gloss.  See if there is a Clare’s store in your mall.  My daughter loves that store.  She is into the Jonas brothers and Taylor Swift.  Not so much Hanna Montana any more, but she still plays with her barbies.  Last week we went to the toy store and she wanted the baby Dr. Barbie that came with the exam room and Dr. equipment and tools in case the babies were sick.  She is still into build a bear.  She would love to have eye makeup, but I say no, your too young.
She is also into Old Navy flip flops. They don’t cost alot and they come in fun colors. My daughter wears a size 7 adult in those. You may think that sounds big for a ten year old, but I wear a size 5-6 and I can wear the 7 with only a little room left.  She is also into Holister store regular neck length shirts, size sm. and the store Justice for girls.  Movie tickets are good also. My daughter likes to read. She just finished a book called “The Doll People”  She loves to make Smores in the Micowave. (Use HALF a marshmallo and one square of chocolate. Put marshmallow on top of the chocolate and between two graham crackers. Microwave for 10 to 20 seconds.)

      I hope this helps
