    • I used to work for a Plastic surgeon as his office and surgical nurse, until he moved to Floridafrown  I have seen many before and afters..The only thing I had done was a Lipoma(fatty benign cyst) removed from my back.  It was very deep and pressing on a nerve and hurt like hell whenever I moved a certain way, or slept wrong.  Very glad I had that done, and the scar is just a thin line.  I have also had laser treatments to remove tattoos, and have had 4 removed.  It was very painful, and much worse than getting a tattootongue out  I have assisted in giving women in-office facelifts, under a local anesthetic, and all were very satisfied, and made them look at leat 15 years younger.estatic

They tread this ribbon down each side of your face behind the ears and pull up and it lifts and reduces that jowl look and the ribbon then disolves but in place - I know several folk who have had it done and my friend looks amazing it’s not invasive like full on lift just puts thinks back in place softly

    • I have had a breast reduction....and I am very pleased with it.  I no longer have back pain and my shirts fit so much better.  I recommend it if anyone is considering one.

And I did have a lipoma removed from back as well....as Deanna said..all I have is a thin line for a scar.

I would like to have some work done on my neck and eventually I will have to have my eyelids clipped and lifted..due to sight restriction.

    • I would love lipo on everything!estatic  I wouldn’t really hesitate to get pretty much anything done, as long as I can find a good surgeon, otherwise I’ll wait.  PLastic surgeons usually will have pictures of before and after with their patients that gave permission to use their pics.  Researching a Plastic surgeon is pretty easy, look them up onlne, if they‘re reputable they’ll have their own website and you can check them all out, even go on an interview with one, where you interview them.. They are all salesman selling their wares and want your business cause it’s all cash, no insurance pays for plastic surgery as it’s elective.  Down fall, it’s very expensive and if you don’t like the outcome, they make you pay up again if they have to fix something, just at a discount.  So it definitely has it’s pros and cons..so If I ever win the Lottery or a lawsuit, lol I’ll be bringin out the big guns, and going for the whole thing, top to bottom, lol..estatic

    • UKGirl and Mztracy:  The breast reduction was really a successful surgery for me.  “I” didn’t even realize how bad I needed until after I had it and was recovering,  The recovery is really about 3-4 months but of course I went back to work in three weeks.  I had to wear an exercise bra that is supportive all the time...no underwire.  You get to where you want that bra on....but eventually you realize you don’t need it.  I have scars underneath my breast...that are in the crease.  You can see a little in the cleavage part...but not real good.  But I no longer deal with backaches.  I was going to the chiropractor sometimes every week or every other week and getting massages about that as well.  Since my surgery in Dec. 06...I have had two adjustments and two massages..of course not enough of those...LOL.  But I don’t really need the adjustments.  My insurance did cover it...because of the back pain.  The worse part was having the nurse take my picture of my boobs from the front and then the side.....LOL.  I told my dr. I wanted him to take as much off as he possibly could.  So he did....and at first I was a large B...but over the years...they have dropped some and I’m a nice C cup now.  So...taking off more is better....things will settle.   You can’t lift anything heavy for a while...or put your hands/arms over your head for a while either.

It’s all worth it.....I’m so glad I did it.

    • There are a few surgeries that are covered by insurance, such as breast reduction, if you can show deep shoulder grooves, have Dr.’s notes for treating back pain due to your breast size, fungal infections/rashes beneath breasts, etc.  In NY the insurance companies require a lot of proof of severe medical problems relating to the area of your body you’d like fixed.  The other surgery that is sometimes covered by insurance is an Abdominoplasty, or removal of a large belly.  Usually they require again, Dr’s notes on back pain, loss of stomach elasticity and severe drooping of loose skin after pregnancies or weight loss, fungal infections below your belly, restriction on your activites of daily living due to your abdomen getting in the way, difficulty lifting objects, or bending over, etc..I can remember sending numerous report from various Dr’s for people plus a letter from the plastic surgeon to the insurance company basically proving that they need the operation.  Mary, I’m glad yours was covered, because a lot frequently get denied..

    • Like Mary, I had a lot of success with my breast reduction. After hating my boobs all of my life, I finally love them since now I can live a more active lifestyle. Before my reduction, I couldn’t do jumping jacks without causing serious booblash despite wearing two workout bras. I did have a battle with the insurance company and my advice to anyone even thinking about having a reduction is to start complaining to your Dr now. Typically, insurance companies want complaints of back, shoulder and neck pain, rash uder your breasts, grooves in the shoulder from bras for a period of years before they will consider it. But, I prevailed and got it and have never regretted it!

    • I had a few things done and I am very unhappy with them. 1- I had the double chin done and he ended up making my before normal neck look aged and wrinkled- its horrible.
2- he did a bit of lipo in my thighs but actually ended up in the wrong place and took it from the sides of my booty so now it has made my love handles look enormous and my butt looks heart shaped or squeezed at all times , its awful!! At the time I had 4 things that I wanted done and we decided / rather he decided it best to start with 2 that were done and they are so botched that I will NEVER go back and seriously have lost faith in finding someone to help fix what that Doc did wrong. BTW, he was a reputable DR but obviously not with enough style experience. If anyone has a help for CA (silicon valley ) best docs please speak now!!!
