    • On Friday nights I usually just want to chill at home.  My husband usually goes to meet a good friend for a few beers.  I’m always welcome to come but usually don’t want to.  It doesn’t bother me to have him go out without me.  One of the ladies at work here has been married for over 20 years and is always compaining about her husband wanting to go to an ice house without her.  20 years and it still bothers you??????  I don’t get it!

    • Not at all...but he never goes “out“.  He is usually going to shoot his rifle at the rifle range or playing golf or fishing.  He would love if I went with him to all three, but I don’t.  When he is gone..and the boys too...I have th house all to myself...and it’s very nice.  happy

    • Mary, I know what you mean about having the house to yourself.  It’s really nice!  He actually get’s sorta “miffed” if I don’t wanna go with him.  I would say 95% of the time I do go with him.  Just on Fridays if he meet’s his friend for a beer I’m not up to sitting in the smoke filled place walking out smelling like an ashtray.  He’s usually  not gone long.  Sometimes when he get’s in I’m like “your already home???”  LOL

    • We have a date night every week (we’ve only missed 5 in 3 years) so I don’t mind it if he goes out without me.  When he does, he likes to go sailing or go see a movie (usually one that I have no interest in seeing).  He does need his alone time to recharge his batteries, so I see it as a good thing.

    • LOL @ Termagsea. I love the “not attached at the hip” quote. estatic

Though I am engaged I don’t mind him going out; I go out also and sometimes you just need a breather away from one another.

So we both don’t mind at all, as long as we both know that when It’s a family gathering, bbq time, or one of us wants to have togetherness time, I’m there and hes there.estatic

    • I don’t mind if he goes and does his own thing. He lets me go out and be with my friends and it is only fair that he gets to go out and be with his buddies.  He doesn’t drink so he don’t go to the bars.  He may go over to his buddies house and play cards and he goes out and walks the dogs every day.  Most of the time I am either at work or I will stay at home and get a nap.  So we are cool with each of us doing our own thing.  Yes I love my husband and I love being with him but I do have to work and he does the house work. Lucky me.
