    • I used to correct right away and then lecture about it in private- probably hit the poor kid with a double whammy.

    • Depends on the situation. The action was corrected there or we just would leave.

    • I was one who corrected right away. Then they would usually get it again at home!! But they were usually very well behaved. Good thing for them!! LOL
I remember one time I had to leave the local pharmacy because my 2 year old was acting up. I brought her home, put her to bed then left my husband to watch her so I could go back and get what I needed. LOL but that is the only time I ever had to leave a store because of her behavior.

    • I for one didn’t have that discipline problem I put my children in check at home and we always had that talk before leaving the house and once again before we went in the store.

    • I really cannot remember my boys ever giving me any grief out in public.  If they cut up or acted silly I might have said something to them..but for the most part they behaved.  When they were very small...and they started all of that crying stuff..I would just park the buggy..and leave.  Take them home...leave them with their father..and would go back.

    • I guess it probably depended on what the incident was.  If it was something that required an apology to someone else, of course that was dealt with immediately.  If they misbehaved in church, they got taken out and spanked.  If it was misbehaving in the store, I usually finished what I needed to do and waited till we got to the car.  mostly they weren’t too bad, but I do remember dragging, yes dragging my oldest daughter out of kmart by one arm while she was throwing a tantrum and had thrown herself on the floor.  Must have made an impression on her because she never did it again.

    • depends on the age of the child. I talked to my kids prior to leaving the housewhen they were little, if they misbehaved i left the store took them home and then went back, if they were good in the store, then a treat followed. Now they are teenagers any problems are dealt with in privacy. I think it would be totally humiliating for them if i chewed them out in front of their friends!..but i wouldnt hesitate if they were being disrespectful to me!
