    • i’m relatively trim, well....maybe slightly over weight, and i’m a semi-regular walker.  however, sometimes i go weeks withouts exercise which is no good.  recently, because of menopause, i’ve had alot of issues with muscle aches, muscle injuries, and joint pain.  so i bit the bullet and joined a real live gym.  i just had to make the investment.  i started a doing some muscle resistance exercise, but mostly love a class called BODYATTACK, by Les Mills.  It is awesome.  i just do what i can, and i am no where near lasting the whole 60 minutes, but i’ve noticed dramatic improvements in my stamina and well being in just a couple of weeks!!!  look it up on the internet (Les Mills - Body attack)....

    • I like walking on my treadmill and I’m thinking of getting a Wii. I’m going to try my sister-in-laws and see if I like it. She just got the Wii fit and she said she loves it.happy

    • I use the elliptical daily, weight train and blend modalities.  I find that by being creative it makes a big difference.  Scan the libraries and second-hand stores for workout videos that  you don’t already know - or even better ones you used to do and still remember some of the moves.  I recently used a Dance Workout With Barbie that will blast off calories let me tell you.  A young Jennifer Hewitt is one of the girls in the group!  I knew the moves because I used to do this with my daughter when she was little.

Use weights 3 to 5 times per week.  Muscles burns way more energy than fat so if you build it you lose it in the long run.

I’m the Yoga Editor for BellaOnline, and I highly recommend Yoga for stress relief - and that includes the stress of Meno.

      Good luck

I just bought Wii Fit and I love it.  I just have to use it on a more steady basis.

    • I have a stationary bike, but lately I’ll walk past it and dust it off LOL. I walk a lot but it doesn’t do anything for that food gut I’m sick of looking at.

    • The financial situation for this season has made me exercise at home. Most recently I have met my goal of jogging a mile. I have at least 10 pieces of equipment in my home gym and a bicycle that I use everyday. I like to do and use all of them in a manner similar to circuit training or muscle confusion.

I just love working out as long as I break a sweat and raise my heart rate I am happy.

    • I’m not  big on exercise.  I did take Yoga for a while and did like it a lot but went on vacation and well, you know how that goes!  I ride my bicycle around our neighborhood.  I wished I did exercise more because I always feel better after I do.  It’s just when you get home at 6:00 or 6:30 after work and have to cook, then clean the kitchen and do a load of laundry, pfffft.....I’m ready to sit on the sofa and watch TV.
