    • Your as old as you feel. I have some younger friends who act like they are realy old. I am 44, will be 45 next month and I still feel young cause I refuse to feel old or act old..lol I have always had friends who were younger then me and boyfriends who were younger them me. My hubbys 2 years younger then me but yet he acts like hes In his 70’s. Don’t feel like your old because your friends and husbands younger then you, If you think your old then your going to feel old. Maybe I’m just still needing to grow up..lol but I’m In no hurry, I just take It one day at a time.

    • Ditto to Doreen.  Age does not matter, matter most is communication and share of experiences.  You may add great value to them.  Meanwhile, friendships is not bound by age, sex, race - it is rather EEOC.

Age is a matter of mind, if you don’t mind it doesn’t matter!

    • I have a similiar situation as you do.  I am 40, and half of my friends are in their early 30s.  The other half are 15 or 20 years older.  It seems difficult for me to find people of my age to be friends with.  It doesn’t make feel old, but I do wonder if I’d connect better with friends closer to my own age.  The younger ones are in the prime of family life and I am not, and the older ones are in retirement and I am not.

    • I absolutely agree, sometimes I feel like I don’t connect with them.  My hubby is great, and he tells me all the time that I don’t look my age, but to me that’s like saying, your old but your face doesn’t show it.

    • I go out once a week w/a group of ladies who are all older than me,in fact they are all retired, I’m 50. they all get the senior discount. I have alot of fun with them. I also go to a monthly couples group and me & my hubz are the oldest. There are always asking for advice that’s kinda cool too but at times I do feel old.I am 9 months older than my hubby and he ALWAYS says something about me being older. That makes him feel better.I do feel older sometimes but I ain’t stayin in that state of mind.

    • I wouldn’t feel bad about having younger friends at all.  I’m 48 and I sure don’t feel like I act 48 at all.  We have all different age’s of friends.
