    • it’s the new version of the kindle 1 and 2. you download books into the reader off of amazon.com or other download sites. They have a wireless connection.

I have a kindle 1. I like the mine as it is smaller than the newer versions. But, you can hold more and they are thinner than the kindle 1.

    • I have the kindle 2 and I love it. I believe they are on sale now for 249 or something. It only takes seconds to download onto the kindle and you can do it anywhere.
Also if you have an ipod touch or iphone there is an app that you can download for amazon kindle and use your ipod as a reader too. I like my kindle better tho but the ipod comes in handy in the dark and doesn’t hurt as much when it hits me in the face when I fall asleep.

I would like to know how Termagsea likes the DX tho???????

    • The cost for most books is about 9.99 however there are some that cost more (I, Alex Cross was 15.49). You can access them thru the kindle or thru Amazon.com
I don’t know about the kindle going ka-pooey but hey you never know.

I’m not as advanced as Terma.... I havent used mine for anything other than to read. Altho I know you can do so much more.

Also you can subscribe to newspapers, magazines and pretty much anything with words.....

    • My husband has a NOOK from Barnes and Noble and LOVES it.  Books are typically much cheaper and if you know someone else who has one you can lend each other books.  Go to B&N and they will explain to you.
