Obnoxious kiosks at the mall. Today I was feeling pretty good, did the hair make up, etc. By the time I walked out of the mall I felt like why did I leave my home. Imagine walking really tall then after passing by 3 kiosks walking w/your head way down. First booth she had a new product from dead sea- I felt bad she must be bored so I sat down, within 5 min. she told me about my puffy eyes, wrinkles on my eyes, laugh lines, texture of my face-all not good. Walked by the next booth he was telling me by using his hair device how much better I will look (I have one already!). Walked by the 3rd booth trying to tell me I would look much better if I lost weight by drinking their stuff (Im a size 7).
After being put down I didnt feel like doing anything but hiding in a dark closet!!
I could do a stand up comedian act on this!!!
I once went by the dead sea salt kiosk and fell victim to their pitch! I ended up spending so much money thinking I would be beautiful and wonderful if I used their products. I still haven’t used them all and I’m only poorer because of it! I hear ya - they say just the right thing to make you feel like you have to have what they sell!
They are using scare tactic for their sale pitch. Like someone sells you life insurance, say that you may die right after they talk to you if you do not sign up!
Do not believe in them... believe in yourself. Let your inner beauty radiant through and then you decide if there is anything else cosmetically need to change. It is to your standard and NOT TO THEIRS. BTW, I will be so pissed at them.
I smile and tell them I love my wrinkles, and blotchy face, gives me character....but I did buy a hair straghtner...they are annoying, I feel sorry for them, they probably hate that part of their jobs...our kiosk workers here aren’t very pushy, or maybe I don’t fit their profile so they don’t approach me.
We have two really annoying ones at the mall every year. One sells homeopathic hot/cold items and he will literally jump out at you when your walking by and the other is the dead sea one and this guy will chase you for a bit if your not interested. Funny, he doesn’t do it to me when I go by with my husband. Guess that’s the trick!
The reason they in kiosks and not in a shop is because they are cheap skates and usually have bad sales people ... the basic lesson in sales is to make the buyer feel good not bad - enhance not destroy ...
Ignore them your fabulous ....
Don’t you just hate it when that happens?! It’s like when you get dressed to go out to dinner, then your friend comes to pick you up and says hurry up and get ready (and you were ready). I‘M SURE YOU LOOKED FINE AND THE KIOSK PEOPLE WERE JUST TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK.
