    • I wash my hands frequently, try not to touch places where public touch alot. I carry hand sanitizer and use the wipes at the cgrocery store, couch or sneeze in my elbow instead of my hand. Avoid getting in 3 feet air space where people are coughing. Just today I went to the unemployment office and a man behind me was coughing and not covering his mouth, I moved away from him. Some people are just clueless.

    • I use hand sanitizer more than 10 times a day. I wash my hands constantly. I have been walking around with those disinfecting wipes wiping everything that is touched. I am exposed to so many people (young schoolage children and adults) all day. Several times everyday I walk around my house and salon wiping and sanitizing. I also drive school bus, I had more than half of my students absent today due to the flu. So after every route I wipe off the handrails with the sanitizing wipes so they are clean for the next group of children I pick up. I watched yesterday as each child got on, and every one of them used the hand rails (which is what we teach them to do) to get up the stairs of the bus. Just imagine the germs on those handrails!!ohhhh
There is a bottle of hand sanitizer in my car which I use before I even put my keys in the ignition, one in my purse which is used all the time. And there is also a container of disinfecting wipes in my car, my hubby, and my girls cars!!!  As a matter of fact I just bought more today. LOL

I am totally freaked out by this swine flu and regular flu!! tongue out

    • Wow, that’s quite the list (lysol).

Answering the first question, I workout, try to eat well, take vitamins, fish oil, & baby aspirin for my heart.  Drink lots of orange juice and make sure I get my sleep!

    • I know Lysol is chocked full of chemicals, I used to use it when I didn’t have any Raid around to get rid of creepy crawlers. You would have to ingest an entire can to suffer from those chemicals, and to be honest, I would rather people use Lysol than not spray anything at all. I walk with hand sanitizer, wipe down my work area with alcohol every other day and use a tissue when opening door knobs that everyone uses. I know this is all fruitless if someone with H1N1 coughs in my face, but I try to keep a safe distance which is almost impossible when I’m on the buses.....

    • Kyah, you never can be too fruitless...

I just found out that a friend of a freind came down with H1N1 last week, and it lead to double Pnuemonia which then led to thryod shutdown and now complete organ failure. Single mom mid 30’s; I got word she just died yesterday.  The young lady was a single mom of 4.  I know this is one of the severe cases, but this lady was in her 30’s with no health problems.

It’s good to wash your hands and sanitize your area here-and-here.  And clean public door handles before you open them or use a tissue when leaving the public bathroom.

It’s always good to take care of yourself and stay with the basics that Mom always taught us to do, “Wash your hands!” (b4 u eat after, and in-between)

    • SlimJim sorry to hear about your friend.

Kyah you are right it would take a lot problem is we have so many products around us and all those littles make up a lot. I use an EPA approved botanical disinfectant - proven to kill H1N1. Just about 5 years ago I started reading the back of my products and looking to see if they were safe for my family - I was shocked at what I read.

A friend of mine who is Dr. said, get enough sleep, take your vitamins, boost your immune system, WASH WASH WASH, hand sanitizer.

    • Catfan here is the MSDS sheet for Pine Sol - gloves, protective glasses, and should rinse after - I personally wouldn’t use it.

      [Link Removed]

Magic Eraser - has special disposal should not be thrown in the trash but disposed of with care. I can say I would use it.

    • I work in the public health arena and because of this they make sure we stay protected. I do take the regular flu shot, my vitamins, exercise, try to get plenty of rest and spray lysol whenever I can. Washing hands and using hand sanitizer is office wide procedure and the nurses offices have sinks in them and lots of rubber gloves.
