    • Yes & No ;)
I’m ready, but I’m not sure about my family.
I’m finished with all the gifts except stocking stuffers.
I’m starting my cards this weekend.
Turkey is in the freezer. Ordered the ham for Christmas.
I’m putting our tree up Monday of Thankgsgiving week-relatives coming from NY & NJ.

I even know what I’m wearing to my DH’s company party-this is the first year I’ve managed to get that done ahead of time. No, running around looking for something to wear-one of my biggest stresses in life. I’ve really been working on de-stressing my life lately :)

I like to get everything done early - no stressful trips to the overcrowded malls looking for last minute gifts/outfits.

NOW - if only I could organize my everyday life a little better, LOL.

    • I can not believe how quickly this year has flown by!  Here it is November, the leaves are practically all fallen off the trees, it is much chillier and Christmas is about 7 weeks away!

For my family, this may possibly be a very tough time.  My husband lost his job last month, lost our medical insurance, I am not working and we do not have much savings to dip into.

Very scary time of the year for us, but once again, I am reminded to get back to the “REAL” meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus. During financially challenging times, it comforts me to focus on what matters most in life.  For me, it is my husband, children, family & friends.

    • I love the holidays and probably will start decorating for Christmas this weekend. Last year I started right after Halloween and it made the biggest difference on my stress level. If I’m going to put all of those decorations up ..I want them to stay up for a while because I definitely do not want to see them up after Christmas.

    • Love the sounds and smells of the holidays. I have been scaling back Christmas giving for years and the presents are my least favorite will take me a couple of hours on line to complete.

Think I will plan a winter solstice party this year.
