For years we placed a handmade Christmas angel (made by my MIL), very pretty addition...but we changed things a bit and now place a beautiful angel that lights up and is a bit shimmery..the handmade angel still has a spot amongst the decorations.
We have a star . Have used a large red bow before,an angel , once a Santa hat but usually a pretty star.
We have an angel on the top of our tree...she is really pretty and watches out for all of us.
right now we have an old fashion tree top ornament...I don’t know what it is called, I’ll do my best to describe it...here goes. It is gold, long and slender with a pointed top and 2 round starburst beneath that.....lemme see if i can take a pic....lol...brb

We have been using the same angel for years. She smiles down at us!
I have a topper just about like Debbie’s. I love that old look even though mine is only 7 yrs old.
My grandmother gave me one of those for my very first Christmas and it was on our tree every year until I left home and then of course it went with me and graced my tree every year until my divorce. Somehow I lost ALL my precious Christmas ornaments in the divorce. Thirty five years worth of ornaments from Gram as well as tons of others. :(
So, current hubby and i picked out a new tree topper to go with our new life together.

As a child we always had an angel. Now, in my home we have a golden star with lights in it.

We have a star that changes colors. Matches the colored lights on our tree. When we do white lights, then the star is lit white.
we usually have two trees one with a big star and the smaller one with a big bow
AN angel now - for 17 years we had a santa teddy bear(stuffed)-it was a gift from a friend & since we did not have anything else I stuck it up there & it became a famiy joke - then I found an angel(2 years ago) I really liked...everybody always ask what happened to the bear? Maybe I’ll switch back to the bear next year, lol.
We use an angel and then towards the top of the tree we always place a rooster, I can’t remember why though, but it’s always been a tradition, lol.
