    • We are still in holiday daze and it just might last until the end of January. Some of us will get back to work, back to school and finally back to normal at a slow steady pace.

I for one will be back in college by the middle of the month, back to work until the next holiday and back to my personal workout soon.

    • Hi Ladies,

Holidays are always a busy time for all of us, however we can’t blame the holidays solely for the lack of participation.

In order for us to keep growing and to have lots of women participate we need to go viral, and we can’t do it without your help. When my kids find out about a site or a product they like, they tell all their friends, and this is how Facebook and Myspace got popular. Please share the Fabulously40 link with all your girlfriends, and let this be a space for all women to gather, connect and share.

Please send an email now asking them to join http://fabulously40.com, send out a tweet, and post it on your Facebook wall. If one woman tells ten more women and then each one of those women tells ten more, etc, our community will not only be strong and vibrant, it will continue to be THE PLACE for women to visit.

Join the Movement, Spread the Word.

I have been so busy that I have not participated but I am starting to log on daily again.Busy times keeps us from doing some of the things we love as the holidays are ending and reality sets back in we will need each other even more as we begin a new decade.estaticestatic

It is a great site and a great escape, I did notice that touchy subjects drove some away...I don’t have answers but promoting the site is a good way to attract new members...we just need to also see what can be done to keep them and the older members from leaving.

At this time, I have just 50 pts. Imagine how long it will take to get to 500! Groups have a way of making you feel cohesive, and  you are unable to join a group until...yes, 500 pts are reached. Possibly if you could join groups and become more involved, the site would be more lively? IMHO.

    • happy Hi all Just signed up today. I thought it was going to be a bunch of us older women getting to gether and chatting about life but as soon as I was signed up I was hit with the fee thing. It could be that turning people off.Seems you can’t even find a group of women/moms to chat with anymore for free.
Glad to meet you all and I will be staying a free member. Trying to run a business from home and take care of my family pretty much takes care of all the extra cash.

    • Happy New Year everyone!

Yes, I did notice that I didn’t take the time the get to the site with all the work and holiday prep.  For me, I get distracted so easily during the holidays.  But now that they‘re behind us, I can begin again to focus on my businesses and my friends here.

As far as the fee, I don’t mind that at all.  First, I know it does cost money to have a website.  I have one of my own.  The fee helps to defray that cost.  Second, you can look at this as a way to meet new people and if you have a business, maybe meet someone here who can help you with your business with referrals.

Just as we spread the word about the site to our friends, we can also spread the word about our business.

Just my two cents!  Looking forward to a great new decade and to making 2010 memorable.

      Best to you,

      Maryann

    • @kiaorashelli you cannot start a group unless you have 500 points, but you can join any public group immediately, regardless of how many points you have.

This was done because frequently people would create accounts start many groups promoting businesses or products and than never come back. 500 points insures that the member is part of the community.
