The zoo was and still is a favorite place of hub and myself, spent lots of time there as a kid in Buffalo and taking our son when we was small...I love all the wild cats, they sit there with a very shifty expression, like saying..“yeah, come a little closer, so I can get a good look at you.“..
Love them all ..... fun to watch the monkeys/apes, manatee is cool. Id like to have a Lion :)
I loved all the animals, but the ones I loved looking at the most were the Lions and Tigers, especially when the Lions would roar, that was so COOL!
Oh has to be the lions - love watching them and if you get to hear them roar it is amazing
The last time I went to the zoo I spent a lot of time watching the primates. I was fascinated by them. There was a mother with a baby and it was so heartwarming. Then there was another one who had taken a cardboard box and put it over itself, peering out at everyone.
I bet they were all pretty amused by us, too.
Funny, you mention the cardboard box, Cynthia..many years ago we were at the zoo with my son’s class and we were in the primate area, the class headed towards the chimps and one in particular was lingering near a cardboard box, all of a sudden this chimp had a handful of poop and threw it at an unsuspecting child’s head..everyone was hysterical and the teacher had to find a bathroom quick..thank God we moms helped to calm the little ones down.
I love the polar bears and the white tigers, simply beautiful.
