What is one thing special you are going to do for yourself this week? I recently went through a very stress filled time in my life and the one thing that got me through is doing something special for myself everyday. In addition, I had to let go of one thing that drained me. This practice taught me to really take better care of myself and I was amazed at how little time I needed to relax to feel rejeuvenated. Here are a few suggestions that helped me:
Take out time to really enjoy a good cup of tea or coffee. No multi tasking allowed!
Sprinkle a few drops of your favorite essential oil in your shower. You will feel like you are at a spa.
Listen to your favorite music or a book on cd in the car while driving.
Take a quick bath by candle light.
Light up your favorite candle and put on some relaxing music when you are cooking and cleaning up the kitchen.
