    • My favorite vacation(s) have been taking our children to Disney.  I don’t get to travel much!!   Maybe one day when our children are grown we can travel a little more.  I would love to hear where everyone’s favorite vacation spots are.

    • Lighthouse hopping in Maine. We didn’t even hit half of them, so we have to go back and take the mail boat out to the remote ones.

    • My favorite adventure was when I won a trip to DisneyWorld, the Magic Kingdom. I was the 25th caller. The only thing is that I had to go the next day!!! First I could not believe I won and second I wondered who I would take. Took my best friends daughter. The TV station setup at my house at 530a.m. and our trip leaving was televised. They had a stretch limo that took us there...Orlando, FL. We got to ride all the rides we wanted for free and we did not have to wait in line!!! Had lunch and dinner free....as much as we wanted to eat! Then we got driven back home around 11p.m the same day. What a surprise and what a treat. I will always remember this trip and cherish it!heartestatic

    • My favorite vacation ironically was with my so to be ex-husband. Almost two years ago we went to the Bahama and stayed at The Cove at the Atlantis. We spent a week there, we were alone with out his four kids and my one son. It was heaven on earth. Ended up with too much sun and too much food. Played with the dolphins and spent the day in Nassau. We had been married for 4 years and finally had our honeymoon.
If you ever get the chance to go I would highly recommended it. What a beautiful island. Sad to say that was our last vacation together, but I will always remember being so happy there.

    • My favorite was probably taking my youngest daughter on a four day trip to Chicago to the Green Festival a couple years ago.  We both flew for the first time, we stayed at a hostel, we went sight seeing, we shopped, we met up with friends of mine, ate pizza.......

Most of my favorite vacations are short trips taken all by myself with nobody else to answer to.

    • My daughter and I went on a cruise to Denmark, Norway. Finland, Poland, Russia. Estonia and Sweden.  I remember us being in a cab in Tallinn, Estonia and hearing an ancient Bee Gees song coming on the radio. It was a whole other world.  And the waterways were so beautiful.  I fell in love with Finland.

    • I don’t take vacations so much as travel. Favourite? Difficult to say. In my late teens I tavelled overland from UK to India and Nepal and back. Amazing. This was before mass tourism. Also loved taking the Trans-Siberian Railway from Moscow to Beijing via Mongolia. But in recent years I achieved a lifetime’s ambition and got to Timbuktu. Three days on a local boat - a pinasse - up the Niger and we entered that fabled city. To be honest it’s much much to look at it but I didn’t care, I was there. The people of Mali were wonderful. Living on very little - they were happy and healthy but it was easy to see that a disasterous drought for just one season could see them in great peril.
