    • I’m a new member and have received a couple requests to be “friends” with someone.  I have deleted at least two requests because they seemed almost like spam to me.  I am just trying to be careful with whom I let in.

    • Maybe for some ( like myself) are really interested but have to figure out the site 1st of all and then make the time during a busy wild week and also get a comfy warm fuzzy feeling. Sometimes all of those things have to happen similtaneously.
Hope it helps and remember to be patient b/c some ladies have more free time than others, but we’ll all eventually get there! :)

    • I’m with Annie. I was new to social networking when I came here and just needed to poke my way around before making online friends. It’s perfectly fine. As for those who just come along to promote a product or be overly political or stir up trouble  with no other motivation for being here, their stay is generally short lived.

    • This was new to me too when I first joined.... had no idea what I was doing or getting myself into.

I will say that when I request someone to be my friend and they deny me I will usually drop them a line saying sorry for any offense I may have caused and hopefully in the future we can become friends.....

But yes I do also think it probably is overwhelming to someone new to get all kinds of friend requests when they 1st join.

    • I’m with Annie happy And sometimes when I join a site, I wait a few weeks until I get to know the site and browse around to see what It’s really about or find my way around It and check out profiles. If I get request then I usually accept. Maybe some people are feeling their way around first to get the hang of It.

    • I agree with Annie also and the reasons she presented were spot on, I found myself much more comfortable making friends on here than any other site (which only included MySpace and Facebook)..although I have left Facebook, just can not get into that site probably because of the men on there..lol..estatic

    • I agree with what everyone has said.  I am new at this and this site is a little confusing to me.  So I am taking it one step at a time.
I am on facebook, but I have so much family on it sometimes you just need to be somewhere else.

One thing though,  there are so many quotes that I love reading.  Very uplifting and inspiring.

    • I understand the being careful.  I’ve been on the site a while.  There are some days, weeks, or months, I haven’t been on the site.  Not because I didn’t want to, it was because of the time constraints.  Some have more time than others.  I usually will accept anyone, but may not talk to them one on one.

I enjoy the site when I have the time to get to it. But, I also can understand being careful of accepting friendships.  I would say this is a wonderful site for any woman who needs a place to find answers, help, or just to gab.

    • I also find this site to be a fresh air after being on facebook for a while. Sometimes I just like to chat or put in my two cents without getting ‘backlash’ from anyone.... or bombarded with questions from nosy people on fb
I DO love my facebook though
