Breakfast? * looks at clock * But it’s already time for lunch! Oops...
Right now I am obsessed with oatmeal. I like my oatmeal with cherries or blue berries with cinnamon, walnuts, 1 tsp maple syrup (that is all you need, honest!) and topped with almond milk.
Lately I haven’t been eating breakfast but when I do it’s usually eggs (scrambled) with corn tortillas or white rice with milk and sugar (it’s a spanish dish) it’s something that we grew up eating for breakfast, it’s really good.. I eat it with toast bread
Yogurt.
Marie that rice sounds good, reminds me of the rice dish my mom and grandma used to make (german). Sounds like a good thing to cook up on this snowy wretched day.
Tulip
Every morning at 5.30 a.m. it’s black coffee with brown sugar (gotta have the sweet) and multigrain crackers.
Breakfast is important to break the fast (as the name implies) from the last meal you had the evening before.
Blessings.

I grew up eating the rice/milk/sugar thing and it was called rice pudding. I’m Venezuelan-born and arepas was also our staple breakfast.

I really don’t eat breakfast, by the time I eat, It’s usually lunch time so I basically eat Brunch.
I can never eat first thing in the morning. I usually stop by McDonalds and grab 2 of their yogurt parfaits and bring them to work. They are sooo good! Sometimes I just have a few of those for lunch too.
Right now it’s hot oat cereal with ground flaxseeds and blueberries or a toasted English muffin with scrambled egg. In summer I like to eat fruit and a slice of wholewheat toast. Or a banana mashed on the toast.....yum!
I’ve been eating banana on toast since I was a kid. My mom still does and she’s 81! She likes to toast her bread, put butter on it and then lay 1/2 a banana diagonally on the bread, folding it at the corners to make a type of sandwich. Then she squeezes the bread slightly to squish the banana a little but not completely.
My breakfast varies by the day, what I’m in the mood for and what’s in the cupboard or fridge. Also if I know I’m having a big dinner I’ll eat lightly during the day. Lately I’ve been on a cereal and skim milk kick. I like the Kashi Autumn Wheat squares.
I usually don’t do breakfast if I had a full dinner. If I decide to eat, it’s like a pastry with coffee on the weekdays. On the weekends I’ll do grits with feta cheese (don’t say ewww until you try it!) or a bowl of cereal with almond milk. Usually by the time I get up, it’s time for lunch so I just eat whatever’s in here!
Kashi Oat cereal and I add dried cherries, fresh blueberries and blackberries, walnuts, wheat germ and a bit of cinnamon with vanilla soy milk...hot tea or coffee, 1/4 cup of yogurt with a few slices of banana...breakfast is my biggest meal.
most days-a combo of all bran and kashi go lean crunch and some kind of fresh fruit and coffee
