Do you think Congress should be paid for the rest of their life for serving? Especially if they only serve one term?
What ......
You don’t get paid from a normal job for the rest of your life so why should they - in the UK the members of Government get a handshake as they are left effectively jobless (boo hoo) but that’s it.
When you think of it being a politician is a cushy number and an easy ride
NO!!!!! And we the people, the voters need to put a stop to it.

No I don’t! And if that is the case, then ALL people working in public service should be paid for the rest of their lives......
NO! The rest of us work our lives and save for our own retirement with no expectations of our former employer funding our lifestyle for the rest of our natural days. Same should be for members of Congress and all the rest of the politicians. What ever happened to the term “public servant?”
Absolutely not!!! I would love for them to pay the rates we do!
They should get some sort of pension based on years of service. Their salaries aren’t very good and they could likely earn a lot more in the private sector.
