    • Neicy, I just cannot get any sugarless gum out of my mouth! Minty falvor, tho.  Not only does it help me not to snack on food throughout the day, it keeps my breath clean smelling for my man!

But I was watching American Idol last week and saw Miley Cyrus chomping on her gum and I thought that looked terrible.  I hope I don’t look like that when I am chomping on mine! LOL

    • I very rarely chew gum anymore. I can NEVER find gum that is not sugar free! Because of all the health issues I used to be plagqued with prior to my nutritionals, it was recommended that I not chew gum by my doctor.

When you fool your body by chewing without food you create a potential physiological nightmare that can easily lead to a variety of digestive dysfunctions, like acid reflux ulcers and other health problems.

This chewing dysfunction does not even address the problem with the sweeteners and chemicals used in gum, which typically have their own adverse consequences.

Chewing gum is not healthy for you. Chewing it occasionally will not likely result in any serious problems, but a steady diet of gum chewing is in no way, shape or form going to improve your health, and can only worsen it. And boy do I know it. After all, I was the one with poor health. So if for some crazy reason I get in my head that I want to chew gum, I look for gum that is not Sugar free. But now it’s getting harder and harder to find foods that are not sugar or fat free. It’s getting worse every day and our health is paying the price. I can’t even find good old gum at a health food store. frown

      happy

    • I know what you mean about the chomping, Cristina.  I always think about that when I’m chewing gum.  My mom used to always say something about chewing like a cow.  Just the vision makes me LOL!

My favorite is Stride.  It’s sugar free and the flavor lasts forever!

    • Funny, Maryann~ My mom always would tell us that if we continued chewing like cows my grandmother in AZ could hear us!  Obviously, we were little and we really thought that she could hear us!
