    • Oldest daughter wanted her eyebrow pierced, she’d already gotten a tatoo, but she weaseled around that by getting “dad” in the center of the tatoo.  But we said absolutely no eyebrow piercing while she was living under our roof.  Of course, the first week of college she got her eyebrow pierced.  LOL!  And then she tried to get a job.  By Christmas time she was loosing the brow ring.  happy

    • My children are adults.....29 and 26.  Daughter has tattoos and nose, bellybutton and ears.  She recently took out her tongue piercing and had her monroe piercing removed a few months ago.  She’s the 29 year old.  My son has both his ears pierced, sporting gorgeous diamond studs, and he has some tattoos as well. I have just my ears pierced, three in one and two in the other, and I have tattoos and am getting another one this summer.  Husband has one ear pierced and no tattoos with no plans for any.
So I guess the answer to this question is Yes!! LOl

    • My children have had ears pierced only, but tatoos I was fortunate enough to control with two out of the three. The youngest one tatooed himself while living at home.

    • I pierced my daughters years at 5, at 15 and 17 they both went and pierced their upper ear. It took me 24 hours to notice it, they had a choice, take it out or move out.

Call me old fashion, but it is what it is.

    • The ear piecing I allowed as it’s part culture being Irish and I had my ear done at 10 - but the tattoo’s no and she did it anyway ..... she knows I hate it and she knows my mother will kill her but what to do afterwards.

She is too vain to add to her face , brow etc; plus she has friends who did and now have holes in their face and regret it deeply.

    • Nope no daughters, but two sons.  The oldest had always wanted to pierce his ear, and I told him not till he was 16 (7 y ago).  Well one day he called me at work to tell be he had done something he wasn’t supposed to do.  There wasn’t much he wasn’t supposed to do, so I knew what he had done.  Well when I got home and seen he had pierced it wrong, went to the mall and she also did it wrong, so she did it again.  I figured he would put it in anyway when he went to school so might as well do it right.  That poor ear had three holes in one day!!!happy So I thought it was a good pay back for not listening to ME!

    • My kids are 20,22,23,25 and 26.  Home rules were no piercings,no tats while at home.  I got my ears pierced at 18,just out of high school(loooong time ago) and I paid for it myself.  So, I set the same rule for my kids.  Oldest daughter,26,was a proud “piercing virgin” she said, until about 2 yrs ago. Now she has single pierced ears.  Daughter #2,25, has multiple piercings and tats.  Lots of shamrocks. With a name like Brigid O‘Hara, she wanted to show her Irish pride.  Son,23, has no tats or piercings.  Son,22, has no piercings, but loooots of tats.  He is a Marine, in Okinawa right now.  I was chatting w/ him via skype video and I noticed a new tat...wraps around his arm like a briar bush and has shamrocks.  Daughter,20, has single pierced ears.  Daughter,8, is of course covered by the no piercing,no tat rule of childhood.  Husband will not pierce or tattoo himself because he says he has better things to spend his $$ on and besides, it’s stupid.
