    • I love being a stay at home wife. But I also have a home-based business part-time, that allows me to earn an incredible income. And since it’s residual, I’m still getting paid whether I’m working or not.

    • I want to be a stay at home Mom and I am working at it.
My husband’s career takes him away from the home months at a time. He went for a year once. It is difficult running a business like mine, that I have developed a dislike for and keep up with the home and the kids by myself.

I am seeking new ideas for a home business that is less stressful.

      Suggestions are welcome.estaticheartheartheart

And jank, consider yourself hugged! Check out www.marykay.com/kohara.   I have done this for 22 yrs and love the ease of the business!

    • I did that for a long time when I was younger and when I got divorced found myself in quite a predicament - no job skills! Very frightening. I have my own business now but don’t really know if it would be enough to sustain me and support me if I didn’t have my husband’s income. That’s really not a very comfortable place to be in my opinion.

    • Yes! 11+ yrs. and going strong. I work from home as well. PT time secretary for my husband’s business and PT Avon Rep.
I will say that it is not for everyone, being at home, it’s alot harder than one might imagine.
I am proud to say that I do not judge any other woman for her choices. I would much rather see a happy wife/mom doing what is best for her ( work or not) than an unhappy one doing what she perceives she must.

    • I love being a stay at home wife, it’s the best thing for my health and sanity right now.  I worked full time for nearly 20 years, and was often stressed and unhappy.  No more office politics and daily drama to deal with!  I enjoy having time for family and friends.  My husband appreciates my contribution and values the things I do.

I think that if you can do work that you‘re passionate about, and manage your own time, you have the perfect balance.  I respect other people’s choices, staying at home has worked out OK for me, but would send others crazy.

    • I’m home more now than I was before. We owned a construction business and store that took a lot of my time away from home. We retired from that in 2000. I have also been a Realtor for 20+ years but now with all the new technology I don’t have to go to the office I can work from home! Of course I also have my Longaberger business. I can’t be home all the time as I have shows to do and property to show but I wouldn’t want to be home all the time anyway.happy
