    • Lately when I wake up and roll out of bed my feet hurt really bad.  It takes up to around 10:00 to 11:00 am for them to feel normal again.  I’m wondering if it’s from wearing sandals all the time.  Does anyone else have this problem and if so what do you do to help.  I take 2 alieve’s but I’m not sure that’s really helping.

    • I have very bad night cramps and I have found it to be worse when I change heels so I go from a week of flats to a week of heels etc; I actually have no pain in heels it’s flats which cause the problem !

    • Mine do on occasion but I have osteoarthirtis. It could be from wearing sandals since there isn’t much support. Maybe try wearing a good supportive shoe or sneaker for a while and see if that helps. If not a visit to a podiatrist would be a good idea.happy

    • Vicki, that’s what I was thinking, that the flat’s are causing the feet pain.

    • Apparently my doctor said my feet are used to heels plus he commented that when you were very open flat sandals there is nothing to support the whole foot so you need to chop and change.
My father wore working boots all his life and when he retired he went mad buying loads of soft leather loafers and suddenly had issues and the podiatrist told him his foot was used to very high support and then it was removed and he is still active so he bought more sturdy shoes.
I now have sandals which have sides for support and  this helps the real killer for me is flip flops as my feet seem to hurt but FitFlops have more supports and cradle my foot.

    • Pain upon suddenly standing and walking (after lying prone or sitting) can sometimes be plantar fascitis. Check it out on Wikipedia. There are MANY great exercises you can perform at home to strengthen this painful condition, you could also go to a Licensed massage therapist or Reflexologist and have your feet worked on, of course if improvement isn’t seen, you may need to have a Podiatrist check it out. Good luck!

    • Ever since I bought my pair of Keens, there has been no pain issues, so now I stick with only really well made shows and boots..sounds like a good foot rub would help too!estatic
