My girlfriend of 31 plus years told me las Sunday: “Gosh you sound exactly like your mother.”
I looked at her and smiled YEAY!!!
It doesn’t bother me because my mom was an awesome woman, when I look at my hands I see hers and I have a lot of her ways.

At first I was freaked out when I repeated her oft used phrases but my mum is awesome and I’m like her in some ways I have more of my father in me but my daughter is a Mini Joan Smith for sure I feel surrounded in a good way
I think a lot of my thoughts, parenting skills and ability to be open comes from my mom. But I have never thought or been told I am just like my mom.

Nope. I’ve been told many times that I’m just like my father which may or may not be a good thing....
Not so much anymore. I understand and appreciate her so much more now. So for the most part, hope I would be like her, selectively anyway!

Yeah Im kind alike my mom.... good and bad... I got the caring loving protecting side and I also got the smart a$$, witty, tell it like it is (sometimes at the WRONG moment)personality defect- but hey my friends say that is why they love me....
