Q & A

What do you get for a wedding present for a 2nd marriage?  My sister is marrying a man I don’t particularly like (but really, none of my business).  I am flying home for the wedding but don’t know what to get for them as a present.  Any suggestions?

    • Mmmm..... good question, gift giving can be tricky in this situation.  Do they like wine?  Perhaps a good box of reds and whites from a local Washington winery? (that you can ship - not actually carry lol!)  Do they like to read?  One of those Kindle things.  Or a top of the line digital photo frame for all their wedding pic’s - Sony make some fantastic ones.  There’s always concert/theatre/sporting event tickets from Ticketmaster.  Really depends on their interests.

Hope you enjoy the wedding happy

    • A crystal vase or bowl is nice if they don’t already have tons of them.

    • I with the other ladies, a gift certificate to a local restaurant or store. Then you don’t have to worry about taking it with you on the plane. You can buy it the day or two before the wedding.
In my second marriage we told our guest not to bring anything but they‘re good wishes.
      Little did that help. LOLestatic

    • Gotta go with DawnKaren’s suggestion.  A friend of my second spouse gave us a bottle of wine and and some chocolates to be used the night of the wedding or at least in the next couple days.  It was perfect—no need to pack in suitcase (we drank to one another after leaving the party).
