    • But of course.  If anybody waited for the “right” time, the world would end.

    • Why not have children if you can afford them?

If it’s my tax dollars paying for those children, then no, people shouldn’t have them.

    • If you can afford to have children, by all means yes. However if it is going to put a financial burden on you, I say no. By afford I mean can you feed and cloth the child properly or will you have to be on public assistance to take care of the child.

    • Kids today are burdened with so much..having to achieve good grades to make it to college, trade school or extended school, working sometimes two and three jobs to make ends meet, keeping up with really crazy social lives, the whole technical aspect of the world, the government problems..it is a lot for them, so it is not our generation that worries me about having children, it is our kid’s generation having children..will they be able to handle the overload?ohhhh

    • well Mary you are right i hope they will be able to handle the overload that is there waiting on them..........frown, this world is very burdensome to us as adults already, so all we have to do is try and guide them the best way we can to ease it a bit but that’s all we can do, i wish i could do more to make it easier, but will never give up trying to make it the way possible for her.....

    • Camille, (what a lovely name!) Some kids just know how to lay guilt trips down!  You gave her the gift of life and she is just being a typical self absorbed teen.  Relax, she is totally normal! Just give her a hug and tell her you love her and that she is damn lucky to have a cool mom like you!

And yes, children are the breath of the future, so these times don’t matter.

However, I think kids get stressed out these days because of the constant barrage of news.  I threw the television out in 1992, and have been tv free ever since.  The media doesn’t present facts or news, they just roll repetitious loops of hype.  Very unhealthy for young and old alike.  I read the news online once a day and call it good, don’t want to be an ostrich, but really?  Too much hype and hysteria and it affects the collective mood of society.
