Q & A

What do you think of a co-worker who continously announces what she wants for xmas? She also reminds us individually.  This is so bold and rude!  What do you think of people like this and how would you handle it?

I’d say “Good luck with that, beyotch!“. I would love to say the last part but I probably wouldn’t!

    • If I had her name, i’d get her what she is lobbying for and move on.  Any other tactic will only cause a scene.  IF she gushes about it you have two choices:  smile and say nothing or speak your mind and say, “I didn’t dare get you anything BUT this...you made it perfectly clear that this is what you wanted.  Thanks for making my Christmas shopping a little easier!”  That should get your point across.

I agree that she’s rude, and i’ll bet you‘re not the only one at work who thinks it.

    • Usually I find that acknowledging a verbally aggressive person only makes them continue talking. Say as little as possible in response, don’t look at them and try to walk away or stick your nose back into your work.

    • I’m with Teeky, wish her all she wishes for! And maybe laugh, not sarcastically though. That would be rude too.

    • Can you say, TACKY?!

I’d really have to think that one over before I commented being that I can be a complete smartass at times.. lol

Maybe, "I've heard you mention that. You can find one of those at ________ (store name.)"

If she’s bold enough to say that sort of thing, especially repeatedly, I wouldn’t have a problem saying that at all.

Just when you think you’ve heard it all.... Oh brother!!

    • Is she really serious?
Now I could see me saying that jokingly to my co-workers, but then again...we are mean to one another...but we really love each other.  WE just talk to each other like dogs...LOL.

I do give my co-workers a little something.  It’s not much but I have made stuff and even bought purse size tubes of hand lotion from the Beauticontrol

    • Well...move on down here Teek...I’ll get you a job.
Trying to decide what I’m going to get those co-workers of mine. I might paint some glass ornaments again. We have a new crowd in there now so they will be new to them.
Yep...heading to Michaels today to get some clear glass ornaments.
One time when I was very young I entered the Publishers Clearing House sweeptstakes.  I got all in it and at work when I would ask someone to do something for me I would tell them when I won the sweepstakes I would give them $1000.  So my co-workers at where I worked at the time started keeping tallies on what I owed them.  When the drawing was done and they were not at my front door telling me I had won....I owed a lot of people a lot of favors..LOL.   But it was fun playing around with it.....
