For those who have their own Mary Kay, Avon, Arbonne, and other independent shops, are you happy with these careers?
Absolutely! The best thing I have ever done. I would not trade it for anything in the world. To be slimmer (7 lbs, 8 1/2 inches in the first 9 days & 2 dress sizes smaller in 1 1/2 months), Healthier, and Happier than I’ve EVER been! And to get to share it with the world & earn the kind of income I do part-time....AMAZING! Beats working full-time for the government. AND all I did was try the product with no intentions of building a business. I am truly blessed.
I’m with Rose! I love the product and how well I do in the business depends on how much I put into it.
I also had no intention of building a business - just tried the product and then others started asking me how they could get what I got!! I lost tons of weight, looked great and had more energy than I’d had in years. Everybody wants that!
Thankfully, Isagenix also makes it really easy to build a business so when I started working with others the business part was a breeze. The Power of Two makes income generation obtainable.
I love what I do as a Compass Representative.
Briefly let me tell you a little about this amazing company. Just like an airplane need direction when taking off, Compass is a personal development company that inspires, empowers women and teen girls to be the best they can be, allowing them to take off on their work life balance, relationships, financial health, wellness etc. Amazingly, Compass offers women an opportunity to earn extra income too. ( Believe me when I say I needed a gas fund!! LOL A teachers salary is well... you guessed it!!)
I checked out a lot of other home base businesses. However, none responded to my mission and goals as well as Compass. I knew I had found something different and special. I guess as a teacher, and mentor to others I was drawn to it because I passionately love cheering others on their success. Like with everything else in life you must put the effort in to receive the results you want. In the same vein, doing what you love and earning a great part time income is a win-win solution!!
I did Mary Kay for three years. I loved the products loved the extra money, but I am not a sales person. I dont like talking people into buying something at all. I have no problem talking to people just selling. In the end I was left with a bunch of product that I am stuck with. The company will not purchuse it back due to the fact that it is out dated.
i LOVE changing womens lives! and i love the Mary Kay Product as well!
for all of us i think the time we get to have at home with our family is ( for me ) priceless! plus the xtra money is nice as well!
Momof3, im sorry they wont take the product back..
I just got started with Scentsy wickless candles. I think it will be great fun and my home always smells fabulous.
Have wine and surround yourself with fabulous women!
wine adventures in your home
Wow, this is all really inspiring.
MomOfThree, I’m sorry you had a difficult experience. I know what you mean about selling.
And reading your comments, I see there are so many ways a woman can set up a home based business - Scentsy wickless candles, Bloggermom - how ingenious!
So it seems like to do well a woman should pair herself with a product that reflects her passion.
those points are dead on Annie!
My Director, is an AMAIZING lady who nurtures, loves and educates!
I love the products and truly want to make womens lives better!
i am moving onward and upward!
Annie, You are absolutely right.......
I agree Annie! I love selling Longaberger! I have had a passion for these baskets since 1996. How could I not love what I do. It was easy for me to become a consultant as I knew the products and all about the company.
I also should mention I was contacted by a woman last night that runs an organization called The Beauty of Giving Back. She wanted to know if I was interested in adding Longaberger to the shopping part of the site. She is taking one consultant per company and there is no cost to join. If someone shops through BGB you donate 15% of your sale to someone in need of the customers choosing and yes, Therese makes sure they are legit. Here is the website [Link Removed] I am going to do it with Longaberger.
This really sounds fabulous - the whole thing. Diana, how awesome. Thanks for the link.
Annie, what excellent advice. Wow, but that totally makes sense. And it sounds like a recipe for success, too.
Thank you everyone - this puts a whole new spotlight on the idea of working from home, because you‘re not just a lone entrepreneur sitting there with your Google Adsense, but instead you’ve got “people“!!! Real products, and a real company behind you.
I have been a Mary Kay consultant for 23 yrs and it has been wonderful for me. I love setting my own own hours, the 50% commission and meeting new people.
I know what you mean, momof three, about selling. It isn’t everyones’ cup of tea. I think sometimes we try something and then feel like we didn’t measure up or we failed, when really, all we did was try it on. Just like we went to the store and tried on 7 coats before we found the one we liked enough to buy. I am sorry MK won’t buy your product. They won’t purchase it back if it is over a year old and someone should have told you that in the beginning.
Nerium International is just on the scene. A lot of money to be made with the rigth team. And who doesnt want to lose fine lines, wrinkles and treat scars and stretch marks right? monicagie.neriumdotcom
