When eating out, is your choice dependent on the nutritional value - calories, fat, sodium...?
Most of the time, yes. I do better with sticking to a healthy diet all of the time.

It’s not my main focus but because I have been on a health journey and I am super picky about resturants we just don’t eat out often.
I prefer to control the conditions in which my food is prepared! Crazy I know but I used to travel alot and ate out all the time. I always had stomach issues. Now I don’t since I hardly eat out

I look for my choices first, then check the nutrition. The less caloric or less fat is usually what I order, but the amount for most foods can be so unbelievable. I just say once in awhile it’s OK to treat myself, but never make it a habit!
You are right ladies, being conscious of what you eat and eating healthy helps in the long run.
I try to order something that won’t put me in the hospital.
Seriously, I’ve had food poisoning one too many times - even from “fine” restaurants.
I have to watch my cholesterol, so no goodies like coconut shrimp for me
and I can buzz through plates of them if I could!
I’m with Vikki on this. ...we just dont’ eat out often because we want control over what goes in our bodies. When I do eat out I choose a style of restaurant that allows me to pick a meal that won’t “put me in the hospital” to quote Suzann.
I have ‘issues’ with gluten and lactose so for me that usually means protein and vegetables with no sauces or deep frying. Tastes better anyway!
I go for taste....but usually I can find something that is healthy....if not...then I just eat whatever anyway....the heck with it...
Yes, most of the time. We try not too eat out as much though. I totally prefer to cook at home. ![]()
If I eat out I try to eat light and healthy (key word, try), I’ve been watching my calories.
Got that going on here too, Kristi. I’ve gotten into the habit of watching cooking shows on TV, buying cook books at the thrift store and reading the new recipes in, Better Homes &
Garden magazine, to cook up a real treat of a meal at home.

We usually sdon’t eat out much, I cook at home and so when we do eat out I am not picky with one exception.. no fast food. Other than that it is all fair game..
