I can’t remember the last time I saw a soap opera. Probably the days of Luke and Laura. My sister was an avid watcher though a few years ago.
I definitely remember that period of time Cynthia. It was such a huge deal I’m sure just about everyone remembers. Luke is still on and I must say that man has gotten really handsome with age.
Years and years ago I was a Guiding Light addict. Did I hear they’ve taken that show off the air? Then when my youngest daughter was a baby (almost 18 yrs ago) I was watching Young and Restless, but then I changed jobs. That was all back in the day when I only had the choice of two channels to watch.

I watch all of channel 7 ABC soaps. Untill they get boring. I can go months without watching them and then go months watching everyday...LOL
I was a hardcore Y&R fan, but I finally gave up on it, the new writers just aren’t doing it for me. I used to tape it with my VCR, then DVR, but I found myself FF through 85 percent of it. I now only watch Spanish soaps, I am watching 3 of them and love that they wrap them up between 6 months to a year.
I used to watch General Hospital at night on Soapnet. I haven’t had much time to catch up and I was missing too many good shows at night at 10:00 when I watched GH. I hear Brenda is back. Maybe toward the Fall and Winter I can catch up.
Wow! There is definitely a mix of who watches and used to watch. One thing for sure is that you can go way long (even years) and start watching again, and you haven’t missed much. It’s kind of the same thing back when I used to watch Telenovela’s. Same story line, different actors. LOL!
Diana, yes Brenda is back. She looks way different to me. I guess just more skinny (too skinny, all I see are her cheekbones) than the way I remember her.
I’ll have to start watching again Rose. I’m sure I’ll catch up in no time! Yes, Vanessa Marcil was always thin but when she was on the show Las Vegas she seemed thinner to me than when she was on GH.
Glad it wasn’t just me. I know she’s a tiny girl but wow...she is really thin. Oh well, as long as she is healthy...that’s what’s important. 
I’ve been hooked on the Young & Restless for 2 decades. I used to watch ABC’s soaps, when the Edge of Night was still on, then my grandmother started telling me about Y&R. Y&R has one of my all time favorite actors, Eric Braeden, who I fell in love with way back when he was the German Captain Dietrich in Rat Patrol and calling himself by his real name, Hans Gudegast. Quite a few good looking guys on that soap, Peter Bergman for one, who used to be Cliff Warner on All My Children. The first year after quitting AMC, he won an Emmy for playing Jack Abbott on Y&R.
For you diehard Y&R fans, I’m sure you agree with me when I say bring back the old Malcolm 
Shemar Moore and dump this ugly Family Matters guy
