    • I think it’s a waste of money.

    • If they can afford it, then it’s their choice.  If they or their parents are going into debt over it, then ridiculous.  I accidentally saw the show once.  It came on after something else I was watching, certainly not something I’d deliberately tune in to.  I thought the brides on there were terribly spoiled and self absorbed.

    • Something you’d regret having spent all that money on later unless you‘re filthy rich!

    • Thanks ladies for your comments.  I suppose if you can afford it, why not.  My mind is thinking there’s so much than the dress such as the cost of rings, bridesmaid dresses, reception, honeymoon, etc.

I agree with Tuliplady these women are self-centered and spoiled.  Anne, you‘re right they may regret blowing all that money.

    • My dress was well over 3000.00 and my veil was 1000.00.

My dad did not go into debt over it or my wedding costs. I was the first daughter he got to walk down the aisle as my sisters did not have him at their weddings. I remember looking at my raw silk gowns price tag and saying I’d look around more. My step-mom asked if I loved it, I said yes and we got it.

If you have the money and want to do it, then do it.

I’m not self centered or spoiled in any way... I’m loved!

    • It all depends on what you want to spend on, as Mamapan says some spend it on flowers, rings.  For me it was on food.  Someone will say an expensive food bill? however, for me and our culture the food is what matters.
