If you had the opportunity to move anywhere U.S. you wanted to, which city and state would you live and why?
I would move back to Staten Island, NY. My mom/sisters are there and I do miss them. Living in TX with no family is quite stressful, not to mention lonely as well
I think I would move into the badest RV and take it to the road. There are sooo many places in the US that I want to see in my lifetime.
But if i could only pick one.... I would have a lake view in my yard with mountains in the backdrop. So wherever that is that’s where I’ll be.
I am not picky.....as long as the sun is shining, the temps are above 50-60 today, and there is a mall nearby, I’m there!
My wishlist:
Sunshine and mild temps.
Ocean or lake view.
No chance of blizzards (we had one last night and had to cancel our Christmas party )
Large metro area close by with museums, art, live music, great restaurants, theater, bookstores, and shopping.
Anyone know of this place? I’m all ears.
I would move back to Florida, close to Pensacola where my family is. I would just take my chances with the hurricanes, it’s a small price to pay to be close to family.
Jacquie, I understand what you are saying. I like living here in Louisiana, it’s close to home but I don’t have many friends here.
This picture was taken as I drove from Pensacola to visit family in Ft. Walton Beach.
Teeky, just leave all the winter stuff behind...haha
Ingrid, yes, I would take the nasty snow days, the people’s nasty attitude, I would take NY again, with all it’s ups and downs, just to be back with my family again. It probably wouldn’t have hurt being away, if we didn’t have such a family oriented relationship. We are very close, after my dad passed, mom held on like a bulldog.
See, now you have me also missing the islands...LOL
I am living where I would pick. It’s this beautiful little town just south of San Francisco on the coast. The weather is normally 58 to 60. The summer it gets warmer. I have the best of both worlds. I live in a small town, and have San Francisco just 30 miles away.
Now to visit that is a different story. Everywhere
Mackinac Island, Michigan...I think it is a beautiful little place. Can you believe they have no automobiles in this town? Just horse drawn buggies and snowmobiles.
Wow 47untiredoru,
I am considering moving to Tyler, Texas when my boyfriend retires!!!! How is it there? What’s it like—Tell me more.
I’m perfectly happy right where I’m at. Middle of Nowhere!
But if I had to move and decided on moving to the city, I guess I'd pick Chicago. Visited there a year and a half ago and just fell in love with the city. Some of the friendliest folks I've ever met.
Second choice, somewhere along the Alaskan coast, preferably with very few people nearby.
I would love to live either in the Bahamas or St. Croix because my arthritis can’t stand being in the cold elements of Michigan weather. And I love the tropic beaches.
