In regards to my previous question about my eyeshadow crayons being ten years old and hardly used, I was advised to throw them out and I have, but what about cosmetics you’ve bought, are a few years old, but never, ever opened. Can they be still used? Or should I go and throw them out as well???
Yes, you can still use them, but check to see how they’ve held together first.

eyeshadow would probably be alright, but not lipstick. just try them out and see if they‘re still good.
I wouldn’t wear the lipstick If it’s a few years old even if it hasn’t been open. I just bought a new lipstick from Walgreens and I got home and opened it the next day and it was old. I can tell just by the smell of it. So it doesn’t matter if you have something you haven’t opened, It could still be old.
