    • I use them all the time for hotels. I’ve gotten pretty good at predicting the hotels and choose accordingly. You don’t get to see the name of the hotel until you pay for it. So far I average the Hilton for $60 a night and there’s a really nice Doubletree that I get for $55 or so a night on most trips.

I heard that Clark Howard - the financial guy on CNN likes them for car rental. I was nervous to do that but did it anyway because of the high cost of rentals. I saved $150 on an Avis rental for a week! I usually use Avis or Budget and Hotwire promises that they use the major rental agencies. So when I got an Avis car for $178 instead of their website’s price of $325 I couldn’t believe it!

    • You wouldn’t believe the savings! I’ve been using them every time I travel to my mom’s - about 3 times a year - for years. And I’ve started using them for our summer vacation travel. Joe can’t get over the hotels I get for such a small price. I even got a boutique hotel in Napa for only $59.00  a night. Unheard of!
