Do you give a ‘gift‘, ‘token’ to your service people like gabbage collectors, hairdressers, lawn guy etc at christmas time?
I do to the mail lady, the UPS guy who delivers my amazon and zappos, the stylist and the paperboy. Thats it! And usually it’s cash in a card.

Cultures differ and I want to know if it is a normal practice or it is expected to give a ‘gift’ ‘token’ to service people at christmas time. I donot want to appear rude.
AAAAAAHHHH! It is completely up to you. You do it if you are sincere in wanting to reward but not neccessarily mandatory.
A gift is always better no matter the culture when it’s a sincere gift.

I do to my mail man, gardener, pool dude and wife, and when I get my hair done for christmas I leave a bigger tip. But this yr pool dude and wife sold company
No I don’t. These people are very well paid for doing the job they do (at least in our area) and they don’t need more from me.
Keep in mind that postal employees are not supposed to accept cash gifts. Don’t know about UPS and FedEx’s policy on that.

We do, our mailman, UPS driver, newspaper delivery person and hair stylist.
I try to, sometimes I’m so disorganized I don’t even get my cards mailed out!
